If Elspeth does come back, does she have to be white-aligned still? Maybe being sent to the afterlife by Heliod would cause her to change her philosophy. I can definitely see some black in her for all the trauma.
As I have little faith in WotC, I want to know as much as possible as soon as possible. I see cards for characters I have long wanted, but seeing they are insisting on giving red bad burn spells is keeping me from otherwise buying a whole box.
They are probably waiting until 11am EST, which is still a dumb time to release content. If they wanted to be more "universal" they should have gone for releasing info at Midnight GMT.
WotC needs new blood, o it's good to be back. Sadly, I think MaRo wants more robots than creative types.
Two years ago I would have entered, but I have a solid job in my hometown now, and with additional roots tying me home, so I don't want to compete and take away someone else's spot who could win.
First off, anything reprinted in Revised (3rd) should be considered ineligible for the Reserved List. That would bring back the ABU dual lands.
Secondly, I can't see why they can't just do a checklist style card like they do for the Innistrad sets, where you mark on the card which ABU land or Mox it represents.
I'd like to see a them of different Planes. One Ravnica, one Innistrad, 1 Dominaria, and 1 Zendikar.
That sounds interesting on paper, but how do you plan to consolidate the 10 guilds + the guildless for Ravnica, or the numerous disparate tribes, themes and mechanics of Dominaria into a single set?
I'm willing to admit that Ravnica has that problem. For Dominaria you can always rely on nostalgia, or have a strong Urza theme.
Personally I don't see how Nerf and Transformers are any less cringe-worthy than My Little Pony would be. Dungeons and Dragons is a tiny bit better because it least it is thematically similar but I find this whole thing just kind of crass and pandering. Not for me I guess.
It's at a con promoting all the Hasbro brands, so all this cross-pollination makes sense.
Personally, I have long dreamed of a cycle of dinosaur golems that was a homage to the Dinobots, so bring me Grimlock and other Transformers.
Darn it. I wanted to be the one that mentioned Auratog.
