relatively speaking, yes. the conservatives in power would probably not be as far right as republicans, but that's a funciton of the different cultures. on average canada is a little more to the left than the states, so our "far right" party is not quite as far right as the republicans. adjusting for the different cultures, though, the conservatives in canada are basically the same as the republicans in america.
Okay. Which leads me to my follow up. What is it about Canadian history that led to more liberalism than in the United States? I have many theories, among which are Americans's lowered expectations, and American stupidity, but I don't know when it was cultivated.
Tell me, I haven't done my homework, are the Conservatives as far right as our Republicans?
It's sad to see the Liberals blow it, because I'm getting pissed off with the Imperial United States, which hasn't seen really good liberalism since Frankin D. Roosevelt.
What's the beatdown now? I KNOW this is the time for control. As a control player, I am glad to see a Slighless, Affinity-less time. This will be the battle for the best control deck, and just for good measure: the battle for pulverizing WW preimptively. (Yeah, I don't think I spelled the last word right.)
EDIT: I think Affinity will do alright in extended (Oh, like it has been for some time now... oops)
I don't really see the value in Rebuild, since Energy Flux takes affinity down really really fast. I've been on the business end of Energy Flux more often than I'd like to admit. Meltdown is great too. I think the Meddling Mage plan can be easily countered by running Meltdown and Energy Flux in the sideboard. If they get two Mages, you were screwed anyway.
I think the card (Probe) is too narrow against Desire, and not as effective as Arcane Laboratory/Rule of Law or Stifle/Orim's Chant. And they might even win without having to bounce your probe, which would be pretty disappointing.
If two consenting individuals (man-man, woman-man, woman-woman) want to get married, they should be granted full legal sanction, end of story. The argument that gay marriage destroys "the sanctity of marriage", the very idea of that misses the point. The "sanctity of marriage" lies in the acceptance of all unions, and the true destruction of marriage is exclusion.
Believe it or not, I read every single post in a thread, even it the thread is eight pages long, I understand your gripe. It's quite legitimate and people need to be politely reminded to read at least the most recent 2 pages before posting, or risk flaming.
Hi, I'm new and I have taken a brief hiats from MTG since the end of Fifth Dawn, so please tell me what's big right now, I'm mostly interested in Type I (hence I'm posting in the Type I forum) Don't flame me please, just give me even a LITTLE bit of information!
Unrestricting Time Walk is like Intravenous Hydrogen Peroxide (for those of us who are chemists/biologists) [Meaning really bad ****, pardon my vernacular!] :grin2:

Also, is extended rotating Tempest-Saga-6th out when next block comes out?! That'll suck!
Thanks :smile01:
