Well -- I run Acidic Slime Maindeck on top of siding in Crush when running up against any variation of caw-blade. I just hate the fact that it gives them life -- it's the same speed and gets the job done. But the Slime's play a big role as well as to why I run Crush over Nature's Claim.
Love his choice of creatures. I played in a GPT Yesterday and got absolutely crushed (it was flooded with RDW & Boros matchups)-- Even post board I couldn't draw into anything (even when going down to 5-6 cards everytime hoping for a clasm for security reasons)
I ran 2 Avengers, 2 Inferno Titans, 1 Wurmcoil, and 2 Precursors main -- but in my opinion I agree with his selection because out of all of those big body's -- Inferno Titan has been the most helpful. Might try this out with a little spin...but definitely agree with 4 Inferno Titans. However, I was running Frost until the night before and decided to try Avenger out -- but back to Frost Titan I go...Avenger was fun, but not my style.
Reminds me of my UG LD deck. Think that Acidic Slime needs a home here, though. Aside from that I'm not too sure what to suggest in the build. Might playtest this and see how it works out.
Participated in 2 pre-release sealed events today and was definitely let down in my first one. Pulling nothing but junk rares. Second time around I hit a Mox Opal so it was nice to see some sort of value lean my way. Nonetheless, it was a fun sealed event and I think like everyone is mentioning here, the value curve to this set is so unbalanced. With this understood, I'm going to participate in another pre-release tomorrow, buy a fat-pack, and then purchase singles from there on. Just a little depressing/overwhelming when guys next to you are cracking open Wurmcoil Engine,Sword of Body and Mind, and planeswalkers.
The balance as far as the event though, was fair. Nothing was too overpowered in the matchups I had. They were all very close, etc. Lots of different approaches were taken that were as solid as the next guy's build. Interested to see what the next 2 sets have to offer to the synergy so far for Scars.
Frost Titan rarely is dealt with once I get him out. T3 Frost Titan = Game is over (95% of the time)
I have no problems with ANY creatures that are out on the board. People have played all the titans, eldrazi against my build and as long as Frost Titan is on the board, I can dodge so much threats. Check out the build and see if you like it. As I said, I am tweaking it. Any critiques & comments are appreciated
Have faith in him, I am thinking he will hit $20 within the next few months. (He is at $10 where I go)
Yeah Garruk has actually been on my mind but I haven't found something to sub out for it just yet. The Time Warps are interesting too...Nice deck list bro. I need some of those Scalding Tarns and Catacombs >.<
@JayJay - - yeah I actually need to try that out. I like the Sideboard you have figured out for it too. Looks nice!!
@Spike the Nonspike - - Yeah, Frost Titan has worked out AMAZINGLY in this build!! So much flexibility with his ability. Keeping a huge creature threat, or land tapped is so nice. And if I get a Lodestone Golem out afterwards...it's so nasty because it's damn near impossible to remove him from the board unless they have a busload of mana available. And even in that case...1 mana leak shuts it down even if it were to go through.
Okay...I have been working on this deck for about a month or two. It has been shifted from Mono Red to G/R to G/U.. Now I'm stuck and in love with the G/U build. It is a very, very powerful deck if performed with the right hand. Very flexible, and holds many ways to successfully win. I really didn't want to draw out this deck on here because I felt like I could hit the nail on the head by myself and master it...but the more I have helping develop this idea the faster it will go through. I just can't seem to find the finishing touch to it. It is so close. There are some cards that I want to put into this (3 JTMS) but honestly cannot afford to dish out 200+ for it. I hope to though in the future sometime. Anyways, enough of the talk. Here is the deck list.
Keep in mind that I have been focusing on a deck that is Post-Rotation with the exception of Resounding Wave. Although the meta over here is pretty green heavy so a few weeks I even went as far as to throw Flashfreeze into Main Deck. That spell/card slot has been tweaked for a while. Even using cards such as Harrow to mix in for Lotus Cobra. So as far as Side Boarding goes it's been a freestyle thus far. Also including things like Plummet, Naturalize, etc.
Any advice, is good advice. Test it out if you wish. It is very strong as I said...and you'll find that there is multiple ways to win the match up. You catch most meta whoring, deck pasting noobs off guard

But, to each his own I guess. Haha.
So much better imo.

Acidic Slime is a MUST imo.
Just don't feel like running Acidic Slime or Dread Statuary?
I would take slime over the Sphinx's anyday.
