Maybe worth noting, most of the cards discussed in this thread (Gravecrawler, Diregraf Captain, Blood Artist, Lotleth Troll, Bloodthrone Vampire, Geralf's Messenger, Appetite for Brains, Rooftop Storm) were in Standard at the same time, and even in that format weren't even a Tier 2 deck.

That's because the good version was b/r. It was certainly tier 1.

Original art of a modern played Innistrad card on a playmat of a modern gp? I imagine they just wanted an Innistrad card to be the art to hype SOI. It's possible the card will get a reprint, but this is very far from confirmed.

    That isn't the original art.

jokey665 asked: Why was the colorless mana symbol added in OGW and not BFZ?

That was a subject of huge debate. I was on the BFZ side but my side did not win out. The winning argument said that introducing before it was mechanically relevant would confuse even more players than having them mix in limited. It also made the splash when it was supposed to be the focus.

It would be cool if we get Jaji, magmaw worshipper but I imagine that he already fulfilled the purpose of existence.

Since its Nov/Dec, my Xmas Wonderland scenario will be:
    1) Discarding my hand for mana (eg. Lion Eye Diamond)
    2) Re-animate Kozilek
    3) Full hand, filled graveyard for delve/dredge and Big Bro on the war front!

    SAY YEAH!

However, I feel this version of Kozilek sucks. =)
Lastly, I am also tired of the discussion about <> mana in the other thread. Why 'build castles in the air' while you have a card in front of you to discuss?

I hope your holidays are better than your Wonderland scenario as you cant normally do that with LED, and Kozilek is a cast trigger not and ETB trigger.

I usually dont comment spoilers but this time I have to say it (also because for affective reasons since the Rise of Eldrazi was my first set when I restarted Magic) : This Set has....something wrong going on. Actually many things. Most users notice that already:

    4) color pie violations. Why the hell a UW Trtiton card makes hasty creatures? Haste keyword for white and blu? Did really need it since you could simply target any land not played that same turn and got the same result? And how is that strong in that colors the land matter theme anyway?

This has nothing to with the color pie. All of the spells with awaken grant the awakened land haste. If anything is its a design choice becuase of mtgo. They want to make it impossible to awaken lands that have just been played so you can't attack with them.

I'm very disappointed in this set, just like everyone else. I started playing at the beginning of RTR, and though I never got to play during Zendikar's run I loved so many of the cards. I played a sweet vampire casual deck when I was new to the game and as I transitioned to eternal formats I saw so many sweet cards from zendikar block, including but not limited to:

    Fetches and Manlands
    JtMS
    Stoneforge Mystic
    Goblin Guide
    Squadron Hawk
    Bloodghast
    Eldrazi
    IoK

Yeah Squadron Hawk is my favorite Zendikar card too, and my favorite WWK card is Primeval Titan.
Really frustrating that they completely butchered allies, IMHO. We didn't get an ally in this entire set, we got a bunch of creatures that want to be allies. Allies are NOT 5 drops with unstackable abilities. Allies are efficient low drops that get explosive with other allies in play with strong, stackable ETB effects or tap effects that care about number of allies. The entire rally mechanic is just generic creatures with ally attached and Rally - Add french vanilla ability. That is not only boring, it is not at all what allies were about in the previous Zendikar. It is also a MILE away from constructed play. The only decent Rally effect is Chasm Guide because of the interaction with the reanimation spell. Otherwise, allies are just sometimes-on Slivers.

Yeah there sure weren't any 5+ drop allies in zendikar. No, none at all.

    Hagra Diabolist
    Kazuul Warlord
    Murasa Pyromancer
    Sea Gate Loremaster
    Seascape Aerialist
    Tuktuk Grunts
    Turntimber Ranger

This looks like something that Hallmark would sell with a schmatlzy inspirational saying on it.

And it barely looks like a strand anyways.

The FNM my friends played it split top 4 with Naya Dragons, Mardu Dragons, G/R Dragons, and G/R Ramp. Dragons seems like a safe bet.

    Edit: Shouldn't coverage have started?

No, those times should be central not eastern. Players meeting is happening right now.

Anyone see anything good in Origins for this deck?

I'm going to put in at least 1 Woodland Bellower for SCG "chicago" this weekend. I doubt the set I ordered is going to deliver today so I will have to make due with the one I pulled out of a pack.

    Iphone 6 8.2.

Desktop version on mobile phones does not automatically adjust to the phone screen width making the text far too small to actually read, and impossible to read because text scrolls off horizontally off the screen. Plus I cannot zoom in or out to fix the issue.

Mobile view seems way too cluttered like others have said. I really like the adds that pop up in between posts on mobile view. That's awesome. /sarcasm

Is there a way to switch back to mobile view after choosing desktop? If there is I cannot find it.

i dont think that interaction between singing bell strike and phyrexian revoker works. The bell strike gives the ability to untap to the creature. Singing bell strike has no activated abilities itself.

Can someone who is better at rules than i check that out?

Singing Bell give the enchanted creature "Enchanted creature has 6: Untap this creature." so you need to name the enchanted creature with revoker. Just as how in the last standard season if you wanted to shut down Underworld Connections you named the enchanted land with a pithing needle not the connections itself.
