my worst experience was playing 6 man friends EDH, using Sharuum combo when i tutor for S. steel and friend conspired everyone to gang up on me killing me on turn 10. Now i always go after someone tries to conspire the group, so they can build up and kill everyone in one turn.

Seem that the Limited players have these threads, so i'm opening one here as well.
Who here is going to GP Paris? I'd love to play some casual EDH and meet up with some happy foil traders :D! I'll be playing the main event of course as well.
Neat combo tweeted by Aaron Forsythe: Using the Spine of Ish Sah in his Glissa Sunseeker deck. Float seven mana, tap Glissa to destroy the Spine, recast Spine with the seven mana. Repeat each turn as needed.
slow combo why not use venser phase in and out cost less

The name of the game is economics, not classical warfare. China benefits off of our military campaigns quite easily through their use of soft power. With Wikileaks we saw the Saudis tell us to go "cut off the head of the snake" in reference to Iran. And guess what? We're viewed as Uncle Sucker, rather than a super power. It's like we're in a defective neighborhood as the cop and get called every which way to solve "endemic issues that only a super power can solve" that could easily be resolved through direct diplomacy coupled with some military build up, which is already occurring in the Middle East in reaction to Iran getting the bomb.
China has a number of huge issues:
1. 7% of the world's water supply, yet 1/6th of humanity.
2. Peasants in the hinterlands that are known historically for rebellion
3. A huge aging demographic, that by 2050 or so they will have an elderly population equal to the size of the US population
Their military:
1. Military generals are sheltered to a wide extent and have little practical military experience. The last conventional war they fought was the Korean War.
2. Their anti-aircraft missile that's meant to be "one up" the Americans isn't even functional
3. Their planes are about a generation or two behind ours, based off of updated Russian designs, still.
Diplomatically:
1. Pissing off various Asian neighbors
2. Asian neighbors are snuggling up to each other and the US more
Ultimately, it's going to be economic integration that fuels the 21st century and States trying to figure out how to do this with a rising population to 9 billion people and more elderly people than at any point in history and then a population decline. I'm no futurist, but the trends have had me thinking for a few years now about the future and engineering a better world.
You have to be stupid to bring this up not to mention how much money this country invest into China, also the money we borrowed from them. Your numbers on rising population doesn't effect the war question at all please use logical facts not some assumption facts. OMG i can't even imagine to answer your Diplomatically part, do you even know China ally with and unfriendly with?? Hint (North Korea, Russia as ally), unfriendly with ( India, Taiwan ), even if we are at war most likely using smaller nations as pawns to make money.
Just a little thought experiment and some fun, but if you had access to any card in mtg and could make any deck however you chose to, what would be your top 3 generals you would like to make a deck for?
I'll post mine to give an example. Please post a little comment after each so that others understand what so intrigues you about the specific general that makes you want to play it so much.
1. Omnath, Locus of Mana - Green is my favorite color by far. I also love mono colored decks. The thought that I can generate an obscene amount of mana, greens specialty, and then abuse Greater Good with my general just seems like too much fun. Green seems like the fun color to me. It lets people keep their creatures to have fun with, but doesn't let people get silly with artifacts or enchantments. Nevinyrral's Disk? Well NO!
2. Karn, Silver Golem - I love all the artifact combos and how it seems like this should not work, but works so well. There are just so many cards here that I want to play that the only option is Karn. I know a bunch of the combo's here are really dbaggy, like Mycosynth Lattice with Karn, but it is just something I would like to do atleast once. My playgroup is pretty cutthroat anyway with infinite turn shenanigans and other game ending combos that happen relatively fast.
3. Scion of the Ur-Dragon - I have never been able to afford to make a 5-color deck that has all the great cards in it. All the dual lands and other expensive cards. Plus I really geek out for the dragon tribal aspect of it. Another reason I would like this one is for the reanimator strategy that I would build it with. I have yet to build a reanimator deck and it works so well here.
so how about the rest of you?
you can find those on ebay bro shouldn't be that hard.
