Well the good news is I don't lose much, but I draw quite a bit. Never seems to be my fault either, I've even had friends watch my matches for slow play or needless tanking, not really sure what's going on. I do notice my opponents tanking occasionally though.
Went 1-0-2
And the one win was a 1-0-1
Turns out that blue zenith was pretty good overall though
Probably testing out a one of blue sun's zenith on the board tonight.
Follow me for a minute. most of us get caught up in the "hate" style of sideboarding which is very valid and even encouraged in modern, but sometimes we forget about the old school method of "this seems like a card I would like to have in my deck for a few matchups"
Not a surgically precise hate card, just something all around solid that you'll be happy to see against certain decks.
For example, Blue Sun's zenith check the following boxes.
draw x spells are insane against gbx. Sphinx's rev is never NOT a total beating, having an extra rev effect is really great against them. Even against something like nahiri where resources are important.
Also since we aren't playing wsz, it gives us a way to beat infinite life coco without us getting decked
And my favorite, beats ensnaring bridge by targeting our opponent with it.
I love secure the wastes because its so good under blood moon.
That's why I'm on new wafo list. Cut the spell bursts tho.
It was usually win more . Burst was better when there was a one of teachings
ALso esper charm is so good against tron and nahiri I'm tempted to play a one of mind rot in the board as a 5th charm. I've got the old old old old school one
The general idea is that we have all the answers late game as long as we live that long. Mana leak is basically an insurance policy to help us get there
Went 3-0-2 at the win a mox. Mismanaged my time against some stupid prison deck, and then went 1-1-1 against soul sisters
Beat abzan midrange, Jund-Shift, and through the breach.
Played ugin in the sideboard instead of elspeth, probably will continue to do so. Coming down and exiling a bunch of guys is good, castable under blood moon, doesn't care about ensnaring bridge either. Will probably start running an ugin and a Karn, or an ugin and a big sorin with a bunch of condemn, engineered explosives, dispels and thoughtseize and blessed alliance
Wait no that's the same one from the 23rd isn't it?
So far it looks like serum visions exists to ensure we hit the turn 4 wrath more than anything else. That's a playstyle I can agree with.

Not to mention snapcaster , secure the wastes, and milling them at an accelerated rate with bsz
Never said it was ideal and our priority game plan, i said it's not a card you would mind seeing there.

Definitely trying one out.

Should cover all the bases there
Playing matchups in your head is usually not helpful
or condemn.
Also serum visions turned out to be good actually, probably am not gonna try the 3/3 split with think twice though
