OMG. Wild Pair is nuts in this deck. That resolving is almost a game win automatically. It's awesome when a card like that makes Elvish Archdruid one of your worst cards.
One time and one time only, it was able to turn blasted landscape into an island to tap for 3 blue (colorless) mana due to someone elses Extraplanar lens and Gauntlet of power in play.
Doesn't seem like that would do anything, since Lens says "a land with the same name" and Gauntlet of Power says "a basic land is tapped for the chosen color"...
but seriously. this deck is nuts. love love love it
Wargate for witness getting back war gate,
Wargate for Cloudstone curio (play dude, bounce witness, play witness, get back wargate)
Wargate for Reliquary tower
get stupid
seems like a great idea! wargate will definitely be going in! I'll try to find another Evac and a Leviathan.
And thank you for making the note that Curio was in the wrong spot. Corrected!
This is one of my mean decks, Uril, the Miststalker. It's built to ramp out Uril turn 3/4 (or turn 2 with Sol Ring + Signet) and then proceed to beat face until everyone's dead. You'll find multiple creature tutors in case someone resolves a Hallowed Burial. I really don't fear Hinder because you can ramp Uril out faster than the blue player, and if not, just play intelligently and patiently so that the blue player taps out or counters someone else's spell.
This deck is really fun and mean to play, as almost every card you draw is better than your opponent's. I've skimped on some of the land-mana fixing since I'm running creatures that find basic lands instead of dual lands. (That and I don't own all of the Rav Duals.)
So, I got bored recently and built more decks, and my best friend and I were talking about a Shirei deck, and how it "sucked"...so to disprove him, I threw together this list:
People have started hitting me with Archive Trap after I stack my deck (how totally awkward). Plus this gives me a fun answer to Path to Exile and other disruptive cards.
I would cut Bloom Tender you would only get 2 mana, it just doesn't seem worth it to me.
I'm not really interested in going infinite. A lot of my EDH decks do that already, so I was trying to attack a different aspect of this deck. I would cut Bloom Tender, but the 2 mana cost is really nice when i'm producing absurd amounts of mana and need to draw cards. Oracle of Mul Daya is definitely a card I'll slide in for testing.
Note: This deck is not aggro. It's purely combo, and many people who play Commander for more casual purposes will not like you too much after playing this deck. Consider yourself warned!
This deck runs smooth as silk, and I suggest it to anyone who's a fan of combos in Commander. If you'd like any tips on how to play it, send me a message.
Have you tried Firefright Mage? It has great synergy with the Auntie.
Holy cow that card works so well in this deck. Not just great synergy with Wort, but it's fantastic making sure my Instigator/Lackey gets in! Thanks for the suggestion!
