First I was like "awesome tech yeah" and then I read the line "in his draw step" and threw it at the other dollar rares... fragile edh tech, but that's about it...
It's alright..you're like the 100000th person to read the card wrong.
It's going to be hilarious in edh when i minds aglow, let everyone tap their mana, and then flash this guy in to dash all their dreams.
You can't play this guy in response to them tapping the mana for the effect, as it happens in the resolution of the card.
You could have this guy out already and then tap out on Minds Aglow by yourself and have everyone draw the X, which would in turn make you draw all the cards instead.
Because that is a completely different card. This card actually gives the opponent the opportunity to think twice with this guy on the field to draw a card on your turn since he hasn't drawn a card.
I also believe if he casts sphinx's on your turn and you flash this guy in he still gets the first card drawn.
Not to mention if they ever make an emblem that gives you another card every turn or you have a token that gives you cards like a token of an Ophidian then your version does not interact with those.
The card specifically mentions that if it's a card drawn other than their first one at their draw step, then they skip it and you draw instead.
So as long as this guy is out..Think Twice is also a dead card and Revelation gives the Thief's controller all the cards.
I'm inclined to agree. The comparison that keeps coming to mind here is Gideon, Champion of Justice... and frankly, the bad PW might be better. Ryansolid does have a fair point that it can play some D, whereas Gideon can't, but you're not playing this guy for his D.
I lol'd at that part.
For all purposes, this guy seems pretty lackluster though.
Yeah, This is my new Favorite card for Standard. GW has always been my favorite color combination and this card has just made my excitement level go up because it fits my Selesnya deck.
People are saying, Hey it dies to pillar of flame but if you play this on turn 2 and you casted a mana dork turn 1, there is a good chance you will still get another 2/2 on the field in response to the Pillar being casted. Yes you do not get another token when it dies because it will be exiled by Pillar but you still have a 2/2 in play, that you can then populate next turn with Rootborn Defense or just cast another, with druid deliverance mana, up to populate the token. Chorus of the conclave was awesome before hand but kind of sucked if your opponent dealt with it before you can untap to take advantage of the token.
It also might my Wayfaring Temple playable because of Wayfaring Temples Populate ability going really well with the Elemental Token. Before I never for the life of me could get combat damage through with Wayfaring temple. Now I can.
The only people who think she's good seem to be the people who also complain about red getting good things... This card isn't good. It supports the guild mechanic in the wrong way I think, but I guess giving them haste works. . . its just not awesome. Decent, not awesome. 4 is not a good slot for mediocrity.
Are you high? I'd honestly like to know because what you just said is stupid.
Anticipate and Impulse but they don't put the cards in the graveyard, so I guess it's different.
Just think about that, on top of the fact that she is already insane for aggro.
Don't forget to read mine!
We have a slightly larger cube so we're going to run it as a UR card.
The RW half is too expensive to even be playable really so we don't mind having Release just dangling there onto Catch.
It's alright..you're like the 100000th person to read the card wrong.
This completely hoses card draw.
You can't play this guy in response to them tapping the mana for the effect, as it happens in the resolution of the card.
You could have this guy out already and then tap out on Minds Aglow by yourself and have everyone draw the X, which would in turn make you draw all the cards instead.
This alone is making me want to cube the Thief.
The card specifically mentions that if it's a card drawn other than their first one at their draw step, then they skip it and you draw instead.
So as long as this guy is out..Think Twice is also a dead card and Revelation gives the Thief's controller all the cards.
They gain 8 life and draw 0, and you draw 8.
If Death Wind saw play, then any removal spell can see play.
You stop that now.
I lol'd at that part.
For all purposes, this guy seems pretty lackluster though.
May want to read the card again.
