but, getting rid of 3 swamps and dropping a doom blade seems iffy to me- also, seeing as how all my creatures would then be black wouldn't I have a HUGE problem if they load protection from black? I wouldn't really have much to rely on then :/

2x Basilisk Collar
3x Cunning Sparkmage
Thoughts? (I originally was going to run with this idea but, instead I thought the 3 Brimstone Mages and Warpaint combo was better)
For those that saw my introduction I'm very new to the game. My current task is building a deck that fits my prefrence of the game which is fairly control/discard/slight-aggro. At the moment I would like to have any suggestions/tips/comments on my deck I've put together thus far-
Whats up everyone! I'm the guy you'll probably be refering to as "that guy" for the next month and a half since I JUST learned how to play Magic the Gathering roughly 10-11 days ago! I'm extremely new and still a diamond in the rough. I don't mind if you burn me at a stake for asking a stupid question- as long as you can shed some helpful/supportive critizum my way.
Currently I'm working on building a deck that fights my prefrences of how I want to play the game. My liking as of right now are Control and Discard. I'm not exactly the type of person that puts a million guys onto the field and then bum rush you with my 80 1/1 army.
I already forsee making comments which will make people respond "He's the only person in the world that would try something so terrible- and prove why it is terrible"
2x Goblin Warpaint = 2x Vampire Hexmage
