    wow we run the same exact list, except for 3 thoughtcast in my list are 3 ensoul artifact.

    Went Abzan splash red for some mardu cards in sealed GWBr and then second sealed went Mardu splash blue for finishers. WBRu both went undefeated and was solid.

    Draft experiences, Abzan can be too slow sometimes, though if your playing aggro abzan (using mardu cards as well and temur combat tricks) you can pretty easily get in as a solid midrange.

    Mardu is really fast and can kill you before you realize what hit you, especially with overwhelming board and card advantage with proper raid plays.

    Jeskai can also be really really fast with prowess triggers and the right cards.

    Temur plays a good midrange when it drafts the right tempo cards, but I feel with tempo cards you'd be better off stuffing them and playing jeskai.

    Sultai is pretty bad. from all experience in draft and sealed so far.

    Personal Preference (Mardu/Abzan, Jeskai, Temur, Sultai)

    That doesn't seem right; 11 packs for 1st is quite small unless they were only charging like $20 for entry. The midnight prerelease at the first store is where they reward top 4 with the majority of the prize pool. The second store I went to is a flat payout based on your record. 15 packs for 4-0, 10 packs for 3-0-1, and 5 packs for 3-1.


    My store does that too, except there's not only one "first" a few people can go 4-0 or 3-0-1. Another large handful 3-1-0

    Went 10-4-1 (draw into the top 100 forgot that in GP with 1400+ players you did not have a pro point before 32-33 points) in Utrecht with this list :



    I went 4-1 against the different "monoblack" versions (B/W, monoblack devo, B/G, ...), 3-0 against selesnya aggro but sadly went 0-2 against burn (my sideboard card were hiding themselves on the bottom of my deck), I'll play it again in the WMCQ with a little more hate against burn and rabblemaster, going back to 3 warleader's helix maindeck and putting a 4nd Nyx and archangel of thune in my sideboard.


    I like this list a lot actually and might throw it together as well, which cards will you be taking out of the sideboard?

    the thing about amulet combo is that its just... so slow when its not online. Them getting a turn 2 titan is basically magical christmasland for them. I've messed with the deck a decent amount and feel its hard for them to get consistancy. Usually around a t4 titan would be what you expect. Just make sure to hold up counter magic for Bloom or Azusa. Without them they get substantially slowly at pumping out their titan. Watch for when they hit their 4th land cuz its likely the next turn they'll make that 6

    Yeah I played some scapeshift and then decided to test summer bloom because while I love killing with lands, I also missed my primeval titan. So I went back and tossed this deck together... it can pull off a turn 2 titan, but also sit and do nothing at other times. Sometimes its just too clunky and slow..... its very wish washy.

    Back to pricing, Azusa and Titans are probably the only "expensive" cards in the deck yeah.

    I'll fast fwd to Rd 6, even being new to the deck and never having played Modern I was 4-1 with my only loss being because I was so new that I didn't know 2 valakut 5 mtns was 0 triggers instead of 10

    I'm a bit new to as well, can someone explain why + 5 mountains means 0 triggers? I was under the impression that its 5 OR MORE so that it should equal 5 triggers upon entered with valakut.

    also I'm not sure about the thing, but what I'm guessing is that if you have 2 valakuts in play and even a few mountains, if they removed all your basic mountains, you can get at least 3 mountains (dual lands) into play at the same time its enough Valabolts to kill someone

    So i have a chance to get around 10 more of these at MSRP... 36 USD + tax, should i just buy them all? Or just get myself a SDCC 2014 planeswalker set. I can't see the value ending up high, and there's a FTV Realms going to 50 USd at the same store but I don't know if I want to bother getting them
