A lot of you are mentioning Chandra, Baloths, Instigator, Ob Nixilis and the like, but they're all Mythics. I think the OP only intended the discussion to be about Rares.
That being said, I think Emeria will see a LOT of Standard Constructed play.
The error message I get is "Load Deck Error: Invalid file format", and it happens when I try to load the deck for online play. I've added cards and sets before to MWS, but this has never happened before.
That's what I've been thinking as well. There are a few issues then:
1. What would you drop in order to fit it in?
2. Should anything else be considered now that the deck is no longer mono-coloured? I was thinking maybe another general "pump" card.
Now I know Elf-Ball is supposed to be mono-green, but has anyone thought of splashing white for Dauntless Escort? It may not be an elf, but against Volcanic Fallout or ***, this card shines. That, and it's a 3/3 for 3 mana.
I stopped playing Magic a couple years ago, and like all players who thought they would never come back, I sold all my cards. I've recently started drafting Alara Block with some friends, and have decided to start building a deck for FNM.
The big issue facing me right now is the cost of some of these cards, so I was wondering if anyone would be able to give me some ideas of the cheapER decks in Standard.
If it helps at all, I was lucky enough to get 2 Ajani Vengeant in drafts.
Mmm, Thoctar could be a really good Rock. The thing that I'm a bit hesitant about with Reaver is that it's kinda situational. Sure, against Kithkins it rocks, but it's not an instant threat against most decks.
Well, I guess we need to figure out if this is going to be more of a discard deck that has some fatties, or staying the more "traditional" route of Rock. One thing for certain though, is that this deck is lacking in green, and therefore lacking in a quick mana boost.
I'm having trouble getting ARB to work on my MWS right now, but what do you think about upping the amount of green cards in this deck?

I can understand Sprouting Thrinax may be good after a Wrath, but for me it's fairly situational. Are there any other cards that might fit in the 3-slot better?
Thoughtseize also seems a bit out of the place, I don't know why. I was thinking maybe Volcanic Fallout might work a bit better.
Thanks for both replies. I have Ad-Aware, but there's some problem updating it so I'll try jest re-downloading a new version. If that doesn't work, then I'll have to grudgingly back up all my music and necessary documents and wipe my computer. Thanks again for the ideas, and any others anyone may have.
Hello boys and girls! So it would appear that one of my roommates has somehow managed to get a virus on my computer. Normally, that wouldn't be a problem as I would run my virus scan and get rid of it. The problem is, the scan won't find it.
Now I know something is wrong because 1) my computer runs SUPER slow, despite running no programs and having 3GB of memory, and 2) Google is all screwed up. As you can see in the first picture, the links are italicized instead of the normal block lettering. Then, as you will see in picture 2, I am re-directed through 3 or 4 shopping(?) sites to arrive at a destination that I did not click on. Lastly, as you will see in the 3rd picture (a screenshot of my homepage) Google Ads are being corrupted, as seen by some nice MS Pain red circles.
Any and all help would be really appreciated, and I figured I'd ask the more tech-savvy on the internet than take it to Geek Squad for $70 and find out that it was a simple repair that I could have performed by myself.
Man, it's been a long time since I came by and checked how things were going. I'm going to be honest with you, I've got a mixture of feelings from surprise to pride to see you guys still going strong. It's been about two years since I first joined, and it's great to see you're still around. Keep up the awesome work, and I guess I'll stop by more often.
I run a build that's fairly similar to some of the builds around here. Ohran Viper is definitely the MVP of this deck, except for maybe Doran himself. Not only does it give you card advantage, it's one of the cards that you can swing with at MUC without much fear of Teferi. Also, I like Oblivion Ring over Crib Swap. Many times I've had to remove a non-creature permanent, and the Ring has been awesome for it. Also, against the creature can't be reanimated, which is nice against Mannequin.
I usually just lurk around the site and don't post much these days, but this thread's creator though has hit upon something that makes a LOT of sense to me. The picture we have of the Fae fighting the Giant is some good evidence to support this. At the same time though, what do we make of the picture with the Giant chasing the Kithkin? Nonetheless, I think there's something here... Keep on speculating!
I've been playing with a RWB variant online for the past couple weeks, and I've come up with a fairly consistent and strong deck. While the landbase runs on the expensive side, it has the potential to win tournaments if Bridge decks become the deck to beat, because it just eats them alive.
