Not sure if this helps or not but I too have a deck that I play when people say they "don't mind banned cards." It is pretty much an Affinity deck but I make sure to carry my banned cards in the deck box to side board in if they are cool with it.
Of course not done in the slightest bit as lands are not all the way thought out. Anyway the main object of this deck is too overflow my Islands by casting High Tide and then untapping them with abilities such as Snap, Frantic Search, and Reality Spasm. I considered Cloud of Faries but I did not see any in my library when I threw this together. After I overflow my mana I can then either cast Blue Sun's Zenith on my opponent to Mill them or on myself to draw out my deck. If I chose to draw out my deck then I just start casting all my instant and sorcery spells to abuse my Gelectrodes. When my mana pools start to empty I can them Time Reversal and HOPEFULLY start the process over again. I also thought about adding W or G into this deck to add Silence or Xantid Swarm to protect my combo from counters (thoughts on this please). I was kind of leaning towards the Xantid Swarm as it is easier for me to get 4x Misty Rainforest for him instead of the 4x Flooded Strand I would need for Silence. Although Silence is an Instant which would trigger my Gelectrodes ability again which is why I considered it.
ALSO, Budget is kind of an issue as I usually refuse to pay more than $50 bucks per card so Candelabra of Tawnos is out of the picture. I do plan to eventually switch the 4x Time Reversal for 4x Time Spiral for the extra untap ability when I can and swap out 2x Counterspell and 2x Daze for 4x Force of Will if I end up liking the deck.
I wouldn't use Chain Lightning here. If you are playing against a R deck then you are killing yourself. I think Flame Slash would be a better add. I also like Pyromancer Ascension in this deck. Also how about throwing some stuff in to untap your lands like Frantic Search or Snap.
Other than that. Nice deck It should work nicely. I would probably loose the Reborn Hopes unless they have worked for you in the past or something. It looks like your guys wont be dying of combat damage in this deck and your 4 Vines of Vastwood should take care of any kill/removal spells IMO. I also agree that you should drop 1 Giltspire Avenger. Maybe throw in a few Fogs or Holy Days in case they actually get a few creatures together to attack you with. Then they are left wide open again.
Edit: and also. More Stoic Angels. If your deck is based off of them then you might want a playset.
I would have to agree with Pernicious Weed on this one. I know your probably fixed on building a Stasis deck now but I think Land Destruction is the most hated thing to play against. I have a buddy who runs a BR Land Destruction Discard deck and we all start to weep when he brings that sucker out.
G has several critters with deathtouch, too. But Vigor plus Joraga Warcaller makes for a nasty pair both as defense and offense.
Yea I just men't I didn't see much g in what people have already said in this thread. I would also put [CARD]Deadly Recluse
[/CARD] on that list of green attack detterrents.
I would firstly add 4 Undead Warchief as they make every guy a big deal. Better Resurrect for this deck might be Unearth or Dread Return. Then maybe a few Death Baron although I think he might still be pretty pricey. Other than that it looks like you will be destroying your life this entire game. Throw in a couple Deathgreeter to get a little life out of the deal. Just try not to board wipe him to early.
For Affinity decks I usually like to run 4 Vedalken Archmage and a few Mycosynth Golem. Those with a couple well placed 0 cost artifacts can end the game rather quick.
4 Memnite
4 Arcbound Ravager
4 Frogmite
4 Ornithopter
3 Etched Champion
4 Signal Pest
4 Disciple of the vault
Other Spells
3 Thoughtcast
3 Mox Opal
4 Galvanic Blast
4 Cranial Plating
3 Springleaf Drum
4 Seat of the Synod
3 Inkmoth Nexus
2 Great Furnace
2 Blinkmoth Nexus
4 Vault of Whispers
1 Darksteel Citadel
3 Skullclamp
4 Tinker
2 Blightsteel Colossus
2 Darksteel Colossus
2 Island
3 Lotus Petal
I know, not the conventional side board but like I said I just use it to totally break the deck. As you can see, I usually swap 3 Thoughtcast for 3 Skullclamp, 4 Galvanic Blast for 4 Tinker, 2 Great Furnace for 2 Island, 3 Springleaf Drum for 3 Lotus Petal, and I sometimes take out 3 Etched Champion for 2 Blightsteel Colossus and 2 Darksteel Colossus. With the more "broken" build I have seen a Blightsteel Colossus as early as turn 1 but it is usually more around 2 or 3. Anyway this is my more "broken" deck Idea I through together. It also wasn't toooo terribly expnesive for me to build
Pariah's Shield would be good for an Indestructible Knight or your Stuffy Doll. I also like Lightning Greaves for equipment decks.
I would probably look into a few Snaps to bounce your guys back.
2x Jace, the Mind Sculptor
4x Gelectrode
2x Sensei's Divining Top
4x Time Reversal
2x Blue Sun's Zenith
2x Frantic Search
2x Snap
4x Brainstorm
4x High Tide
4x Counterspell
2x Daze
2x Reality Spasm
2x Preordain
2x Ponder
2x Lightning Bolt
2x Burst of Speed
4x Mountain
4x Scalding Tarn

Anyway thoughts? Comments? Help?
I disagree. Less control and more mill FTW.
-4 Counterspell
+4 Archive Trap
-4 Diabolic Edict
+4 Twincast
and maybe even try to find some room for a few Brain Freeze
Secondly. I have a buddy running a deck similar to this. He runs a few guys that tap creatures to take advantage of Stoic Angel.
Guys like...
Ballynock Trapper
Goldmeadow Harrier
or Blinding Mage
those with something that untaps all your guys on your turn like Vitalize, Mobilize, or Quest for Renewal make the game nearly impossible for your opponent.
