Been a while since anyone posted here, so let me be the first to say OMG!!!! THE CLOAK IS BACK!!!!! Never, in my wildest dreams did I think that wizards would reprint this card with the lich! That, right there, made this guy completely viable in constructed. Now, more than ever, do I need my playset!
On a more levelheaded note, a B/W deck built around him and stoneforge mystic could now work, with another playable artifact. Seriously, Whispersilk Cloak is that good with this guy. 5/5 indestructible, unblockable, shroud, only vulnerable to artifact hate.
So, to recap; this guy is awsome, HOLY @#$%!, and constructed will see him.
If the Lich can become playable with the right artifacts that's one beautiful curve.
...the lich is playable... prophetic prism, borderpost, collar. Honestly, how many decks run artifact hate main, so game one it is just a beast. Game two mabye not so much, but that is what the prism is for.
Of course I need Bloodghast, but Nighthawk is one of the few answers I have to a ginormous Knight of the Reliquary(I also have Consume the Meek or a lucky sac effect or Tendrils effect).
On that note, I've also been debating between Doom Blade and Smother.
I'd say doomblade maindeck, and mabye smother in the sideboard (for wierd b/r ally decks and the mirror match). Doomblade just gets so much that smother doesnt, and not killing black is rarely a problem that smother could solve.
I personally run B/w aggro, but mono black has some interesting twists.
Lich should be an auto 4-of, with Basilisk collar and/or Trusty Machette
Why not Nighthawk? He pretty much always 1-1's: either he gets removed of he kills their threat. He is also a big reason why I run white(Sun Titan and fleshbag marauder:D).

Bloodghast: 'Nother great dude to run mono-black with
Grave Titan is a beast! While not a 4-of because of cost, i'd say an easy 2-of in most decks
With some removal spells and disruption, you've got yourself a very solid decklist. Can't wait for the M11 release.
I'm for playing a B/w aggro list with this, fleshbag, sun titan, mystic, and mabye the shade. Seems like it could make T2. As for BBE, I don't think you want to play them together. You run the risk of not having an artifacxt when you cascade, so it goes to the bottom, like a pulse on an empty field. Mono black could become good with the rotation, but until then, BW or BG seems best to me.
1.Grave This guy is great in limited and constructed, at least more than any of the others. Deathtouch is not redundant; bye-bye wall of denial, bye-bye eldrazi, and bye bye tera stomper. He is just nuts, though im surprised the token making ended up on the black one, and not the green one
2. Sun You guys say he needs a deck built around him, but 3cc and less cards make up the bulk of most decks, right in his range. And with a deck... dun dun duuuh
3. Inferno Burn Baby Burn! A bolt every turn is nuts, and the firebrathing can end games. Should have been a dragon, but ill take him as is.
4. Primeval in both limeted an constructed, the ramping is mostly redundant. Sure he works great in Valakut and eldrazi ramp, but those decks are just not relevant compared to the ones the others go in.
5. Frost No. Just no. Bye the time he comes out, the extra mana is easy (primeval!). And only one permanent per turn just is not enough. I'd call him even with Soji, but that does not make him playable.
Just so you know, I think all of them can be great, but for some it is just harder than ohters.
Time Reversal

Sorcery MR
Each player shuffles his or her hand and graveyard into his or her library, then draws seven cards. Exile Time Reversal.
Thoughts? Reminds me of a lesser Worldpurge
Is it any good, and will it see play in standard, or even limited?
Is it also possible that the green titan puts creatures directly into play from your hand/top of deck, like a root elemental/summoning trap type thing?
I think that the black one will be something like this
:4mana::symb::symb:
Bone Titan
Creature-Giant
:1mana::symb:: Regenerate Bone Titan
Whenever Bone titan etb/attacks, drain 3 from an opponent
6/6
and that the green one will be like this
:4mana::symg::symg:
RootTitan
Creature-Giant
Trample
Whenever Root Titan etb/attacks, put a 3/3 green beast token onto the battlefield under your control
6/6
Personaly, I would run a fair number of lords, some merfolk token makers, specifically summon the school, and then Wanderwine Prophets. The combination of prophets and summon the school, plus a couple other 'folk, nets infinnite turns.
I always figured that Mirrodin 2 would be an artifact block, and this card only makes it that much more likely.
While it may not be too great now (esper aside), in a few months this card is going to be nuts! Esper just will not die in extended; first Mirrodin 1/Esper, and now Esper/Mirrodin 2. I want my playset before September.
How much ya want to bet that 2 sets after Mirrodin 2 there will be another artifact block?
@ Lausebub Really like your American version; your right Manabarbs is a sideboard card. I'll give your list a try, and maybe after testing I'll know what needs changing. This looks very solid, and good luck at the RoE gameday (do well so I can get some reasurance that this deck idea does not suck ).
You could really use 2x Gideon Jura in that deck Aeromage. I see you like Lust for War, but really you'd be better off with Gideon. Also, you have 10 red sources and 16 white sources, but an even distribution of red and white cards. It really looks like you would get screwed for red mana a lot. An additional land wouldn't hurt either
Thanks with the lands, but I think you might be underestimating Lust. At worst, they kill it with a spell, so it is a 2 for 1. At best, they can't deal with it, and it kills them. Gideon kills people too, but they can block/kill him when he becomes a creature. Thats not to say I don't want him in the deck, but I don't think it's worth taking out Lust for him. Mabye more like

2/3 unplayables+1/2 playable+= INSTANT WIN!!!!!! Love it :D. Unlikely, but you have diabolic tutor and blue card draw
Hmmmmmm.........

Both of those are waaay overpowered. If WOTC prints those, I will quit magic forever:p
Agreed, 3 is most definetly not out the window

Edit: Somthing like this
4 Merrow Reejery
2 Wanderwine Prophets
4 Coralhelm Commander
3 Sygg, River Guide
4 Silvergill Adept
3 Merfolk Soverein
3 Wake Thrasher
4 Summon the School
3 Path to Exile
4 Mana Leak
2 Cryptic Command

4 Perimeter Captain
4 Wall of Omens
3 Wall of Reverance
3 Kazuul, Tyrant of the Cliffs
2 Rage Nimbus
Spells
3 Path to Exile
3 Oblivion Ring
3 Lightning Bolt
3 Manabarbs
2 Earthquake
2 Luminarch Ascension
2 Lust for War
2 Ajani Vengeant
2 Gideon Jura
4 Arid Mesa
3 Kabira Crossroads
9 Mountain
7 Plains
I wasn't completely sold on the 'quake, and Lust is like a kill spell (albeit 4 mana)
