Where they came from: After the Izzet were bored with Weirds, they decided to make something else that would be even more chaotic and crazy than their Weirds: Izzium.
The crazed experimenters took Weirds and infused them with an artifical substance called Tryzigerium, that could either become superheated plasma or absolute zero degree ice.
And so, the Izzia (plural) had the powers of extreme heat or extreme cold. Due to natural variaton, some Izzia could express both heat and cold; while others could only express one or the other.
Here is an example of an Izzium:
Obeying Subject :2mana::symu::symr:
Creature--Izzium
First Stike
Tap an untapped Wizard you control: Gain control of Obeying Subject. (This effect doesn't end at end of turn.) Any player may play this ability.
Though it obeyed my every command, I was astonished to see it betray us to the tree-huggers and then come back to our side when I tried to subdue it.

The Mir-Flect are creatures that escaped their reverse world of mirror into our world. yet they could only escape if a creature from our side became trapped in a mirror.
Their motives are unknown because while; a hero might look in and a villan will come out, a villan might look in and a hero might emerge, all mir-flect work for the freedom of their race!
notes - Mir-Flect are ussaly opposite color and traits and emotions then their counterparts....example an elf (tree hugging would instead be red and land destroying) while a goblin (normally chaotic and stupid would be smart and lawful)
an example
Eterna Epherma :1mana::symw:
Creature - Mir-Flect Zombie
Indestructible
Whenever a spell or abilaty would target a creature or a player sacrifice Eterna Epherma.
"The reflection of decay and darkness was of course brightness and decay......nothing not even a mirror can change the rot of a zombie" - Telc-Frim, Mir-flectologist

Petlings: Petlings are small chamaleon-like creatures that could become attached to other creatures. These creatures give a magical burst to their host that brings surprising abilities to their hosts in exchange for protection. Petlings seem to come from every region of the planet and seek other creatures to form a symbiotic bond with them. Since there's a wide variety of this species their abilities have not been completly recorded, but new ones keep appearing at a great rate which have led scholars to think that a great event is coming and these little creatures seem to have come out of hiding to find suitable host for their survival.
Creative Input: Petlings are creatures that give creatures an ability, think of those as creature enchantments. The downside of this is that when the host creature is removed from play so is the petling. This gives a wide degree to the abilities that these creatures could give to other creatures. These creatures are always small, so that may explain their need to bond with other creatures.
Here's an example:
Oak's Petling :2mana::symg:
Creature - Petling
When this creature comes into play choose a creature in play, Oak's Petling becomes bonded to that creature.
If you cannot choose a creature in play other than Oak's Petling sacrifice this creature.
If the bonded creature leaves play sacrifice Oak's Petling.
While Oak's Petling is in play the bonded creature gains +2/+2.

"A flood, an earthquake, and a cyclone, all at the same time- What are the chances?" - Helir, Astrak commander
