    So I agree with you on principle, Archemedies. Augury Adept is one of my least favorite designs ever. I think the whole beauty of hybrid is finding effects that work in both colors individually.

    However, there is precedent for self-bounce in green. I'm not suggesting green get blink. All I'm saying is not only do Whitemane Lion and Blinking Spirit and Alley Evasion still fit under the current color pie, so do Roaring Primadox and Ambush Krotiq and Invasive Species.

    Whisper Agent is a good rate for surveil on a three-mana body. This less so. Doesn't even have defender so Arcades II can take advantage of that butt. Ah well.

    Yeah, the biggest concern for me here would absolutely be infinite combos. However, 1 and 1 is still too low a cost to grant creatures the ability to effectively tap for WW (although, asterisk, you can't spend it on the same spell, etc).

    You have to shuffle before you scry. Putting the land onto the battlefield triggers the landfall ability, but it doesn't resolve yet, and nothing that's on the stack can interrupt something that's in the middle of resolving (Evolving Wilds's activated ability, in this case).

    EDIT: As silentstormraider points out, to be clear, you have to complete the whole action of the resolving ability before putting the triggered ability on the stack.

    In a complete vacuum, all other things being equal, I like Opt better. Instant speed, and flexibility to get more card types.

    Eeeeeesh. Pain-taplands. Once upon a time there were some grody dual lands, I think this cycle was better than the Wizards' School cycle at least. And the Pinecrest Ridge one. You can give out about duals that are less powerful than you'd like all you want but we'll never get anything as bad as this cycle at any rarity in this era imho.

    Then no, there's no interaction with returning, because returning something to the battlefield is not casting it.

    That being said, I like the approach that you've taken here, especially since you've distanced spell trample from the real McCoy. All you need is a consistent definition for excess damage (Does it count the damage the spell would deal or is actually dealt? What if I cast Rolling Boulder on Cho-Manno, Revolutionary?) as you use it here.
    That is exactly the rules problem here, as combat damage solves that through assignment, while noncombat damage is never assigned.

    You can just make a definition for excess noncombat damage in this case and it solves your issue, even if we all "know" what it means.
