I quit during Onslaught block and resumed playing in Zendikar, but have a very keen interest in knowing about Mirrodin + the adventures of Glissa and friends. - To post a comment, please login or register a new account.
Oh, I see. So the "Pyro" from the name is Young Pyromancer. Seriously, I thought it came from Pyroclasm.
Hmm, looks like a strong red white deck indeed. Clamp makes good use of the tokens from the pyromancer.
My MTG budget is only 40-50 dollars a month. Cannot exceed that, which is why buying semi-expensive cards is not easy. Anyway, I'll try to save up for them. Thanks again for the replies.
Just checked at SCG, and indeed it's 89.99$ OMG Can't believe it's at that price now. Well, to be fair it's a rather useful land.. my mono green stompy has one. But a card like this should not be 100 dollars. Maybe 20-30? A reprint badly needed to lower the price..
And speaking of lands. What are people's thoughts on Inkmoth Nexus - would it further go up or down? It's one of the last few cards I need before my Affinity is complete. Already have Ravagers and Opals. Buy now or wait a few more months? Thanks. :>
Looks good. Hmm, of course a monster as strong as that surely requires the player to do something not easily done to get whatever it is to flip. I hope the flip card would be a land, so it's at least easier to add into a deck.
Pyro Clamp? First time I've heard of it. Can you give a short description of what it does and what cards are in it? Thanks. :>
The decks that I don't like to encounter are Affinity and Summer Bloom. Specially Summer Bloom - that deck is super fast and I don't have much sideboard for it.
Maybe they could print the W eldrazi that they were not able to print in BFZ and Oath?
I saw somewhere that there were more devoid white Eldrazi planned, but they were not able to print those for some reason...
A little bit weaker than her previous self, but more hard cast friendly. Will try her in my Eldrazi deck, though just for fun as the deck isn't built to reliably cast eldrazi beyond 6 mana. Going to get a land, sorcery, and creature in the grave for sure, so that's 10 left.. hmm..
Main reason for getting the card would be for collection purposes.
Thanks for the detailed reply. Your build does seem like it can unload a lot of damage pretty quickly. Played during Zendikar standard, have experienced to be on the receiving end of a kicked bushwacker. Hmm, I'm probably going to build something close to your deck.. but I plan to splash green for Destructive Revelry and Atarka's command. Having something that can get rid of enchantment is important in my meta, because some people here still have worship - I guess that's one of the lingering effects of Eldrazi winter..
Dust Bowl
Lotus Petal
Pernicious Deed
Goblin Guide
Chalice of the Void
That's good results for a budget list. Am getting encouraged to build this deck.
Just one question. What do you do if you know an opponent has 2 or 3 pyroclasm effects in the sideboard? Still go all-in and hope they did not draw the pyroclasm?
Agree on that. A return of the 1/2 cat would be nice. Am a cat person too. Currently own 3 adult cat and 4 kittens.
Ok, now. For things I really hope to see..
1. The return of "Undying"
2. Even just one decent green undying card at GG or GGG cmc would be enough. Please WOTC. >__<
3. Good utility lands for aggro
4. Hoping to see more Wolfir.
First of all, a congratulations on your good results.
I have also been trying Nissa as one of, and she performs quite well enough. However, this is the first time I've seen someone use Contagion Clasp, that's quite an interesting idea there - already added one on my SCG order cart. Hmm, just have to think carefully what to take out of my list to put in one clasp.
