    Can you put this in MWS code? I gave earlier submitters a pass, but now that there's plenty of examples of how to do it you don't have any excuses to skip that step.

    whose comments are those that you posted? Also, I think you forgot to put whether it's an instant or sorcery.

    I'll let others handle the balance issues, I'd like to focus on how scattered the card's abilities are. You should have a clear role in mind for how players should use this card: do you want it to be discard-fodder for a madness deck? Do you want it to be a repeatable buyback spell? do you want it be a charm-type toolbox spell? Do you want it to be an aggro card that sacrifices life/cards for extra power?

    Another way to put this is that whenever you make a card, that card is the answer to the question "wouldn't it be cool if a card...?". Giant Growth is "Wouldn't it be cool if a card could make creatures bigger?". Phylactery Lich is "wouldn't it be cool if a creature's power came from an artifact?". What question do you want your card to ask?

    "it sounds weird" is really the only complaint I've heard so far. There doesn't seem to be many people who have come up with a different name, and there doesn't seem to be *any* people that think keywording trollshroud was a bad idea. I say thumbs up.


    'Dies' is something which I'm glad has come about, and frankly it makes a lot of sense. I think it's just like 'exile' and people will get used to it quickly.

    I've never heard anyone complain that "goes to the graveyard from the battlefield" is too wordy. My only thought right now is that I only see problems being caused by this change--explaining to new players that Catapult Master doesn't make creatures die is just one example--and none being solved.

    So, when are they going to rename counter (spell / ability) as 'cancel'?

    I saw that thread a while back, but I haven't seen any support for the change since then. I doubt Wizards is going to make that change without the amount of chatter that surrounded Trollshroud.

    Surely there are bigger problems with cards we've posted so far than a bit of clunky wording.

    I like spyfly too. The cards that are most interesting to me are the ones that use existing mechanics and existing precedents for balance and color pie, but for some reason just weren't printed.

    Each player can only use one rarity in their deck. So (besides basic lands) you have to either use all commons, all uncommons, or all rares/mythics.

    It's up to you to decide which rarity level has the best tools: do you want access to dual lands and splashy rares, the staples and supporting cards and staples that come at common, or go for some sort of middle-ground with uncommon?
