This is really great. This sig brought me to your thread, and I'm in love with the work you guys are doing.

Please cleanse my image with an avatar befitting my corrupt psyche. I will bear it with honor.

    It can:
Remove a blocker for a turn
Remove and Attacker for a turn
    Breed more Golems
    Get more life- (finks)
    Reset Finks
    Move an O-ring
Perform cute tricks with Mangara and O-ring (not something I really did much)
...an I am sure much more, but it is 2am here.

My favorite frequent use for Flickerwisp is it's synergy with Jotun Grunts and Mask of Memory; after your opponent has run out of graveyard to tuck, start tucking your own while you chunk mid-to-late game lands and vials into the grave, and when you're simply out of targets (and if there is no better play available, say with Golems, Finks, etc.), you can reset the Grunt so that you and your opponent have time to restock your graveyards, and he has enough time to re-tuck them. I run two Grunts maindeck, so this isn't that uncommon when the situation presents itself.

    Another spoiler to test:
    Champion of Lambholt

I know it's another three drop and might not make the cut, but at the very least it's worth testing. I'm liking it more than Elvish Champion.

I've been playtesting it for two days, and so far it's been amazing. If you think you can make it stick, it's usually an instant return plus some. I can't guarantee results with others, but It's great to have that much mana floating around to expend whenever you need it. It makes Forbid silly as well.
I'm looking forward to the rest of the spoilers, you never know what awesome evasion and control will come out of AVR.

What do you think about Druids' Repository(Avacyn Restored Spoiler)? Three mana for mana acceleration seems steep in this deck, but when it interacts this way it seems like an explosive catalyst. Thoughts?

word...in that case...the troll face is perfect...you have quite the sense of humor, indeeed... yes karn liberated is a beast... i traded him for elspeth knight errant and a grand architect...and then i traded those...and traded and treaded...
man i have a problem with giving away my good cards... i just got sorin lord of innistrad in a booster pack and traded him for like five rares and a bunch of uncommons...i guess he's worth a lot or something... oh welll..at least my friends are happy...!

Most people don't understand the humor I see in most things, but then again I'm strange.
As for trading rare cards for jank, my friends do it all the time. With my 'Magic' friends in my close clique, we don't really value anything anymore; we just give each other what we need when we need it. It's like the smoker's-karma I've heard people talk about: give freely in times of need and you too will receive. It makes draft events and things much easier. "Hey guys, if you see this card let me know. Is there anything I should watch out for for you?" Immediately after the event we just give up whatever everyone else wants. It's the best arrangement ever. That's also why it drives me crazy to trade on Salvation sometimes; some people won't trade unless you're with $.25 of their value, or unless it's in their favor. It seems pretty silly by comparison.

Maybe I'm missing something here, but why no Skullclamp?
I should add that I love the concept of this deck. It's just... phenomenal.

lol...how about a human token...kidding... i think really maybe a germ token or myr token...both have loads of potential stylistically...

I really disliked the human token from Dark Ascension, so I may just have to make one of my own liking. Thanks for the suggestions Grin

the pic i posted is of a painting i did with acrylics, inspired by my favorite artist salvador dali...i went through like a seven year obsession with him and his art and its all i could think about and i tried to emulate his flavor as much as i could... before that i was mostly drawing monsters, and once i shook the obsession a bit i was left with lots of new approaches for drawing them once i decided to make my own art... it was a good period for me and taught me a lot.... i believe i'm being assimilated by phyrexia at this point...
i have loads of artwork here- http://community.wizards.com/phyrexian-hailstorm/go/gallery/index?pref_tab=photos

That's some pretty impressive work. It makes my little wacom sketches look like finger painting, ha. My favorite has to be demoniac, although beetle with eggs and your still life work is stunningly realistic. Your study of Dali is remarkably spot on.

btw...whats with the scary face on your avatar...?

It's an internet meme. Karn is my favorite character from the Magic multiverse, and his card my favorite in the game. It reflects him absolutely perfectly, and the use of the 'troll face' is to resonate his in game utility in being able to prod things to life with laughable results. Examples are artifact lands (they become 0/0 and perish as a state base), animating opponent's artifacts in response to a board wipe announcement (I'M A REAL BOY! *crackle*), bumping equipment from pesky generals (equipment that's a creature can't equip a creature; look, I can see your general now that her Lightning Greaves ran away without her! I suppose it's also amusing to think that the boots make their wearer so quick that they can't be seen, but the boots themselves are plain as day), or in a pinch you can do the obvious and animate your own artifacts for a critical block or attack. He's just darn neat. I just wish they hadn't reprinted him as a planeswalker that doesn't really show who he was or is, other than 'powerful.'

    not much i guess...oi, surrealism...:-/
anyway i think your graphic is top notch...would love to see more like it in the future...and what other projects might you have in the vault..?

    dm

Thank you. I'll take any critiques you have, no matter how critical. As for new projects, I've been sketching up some tokens. The Newest is a sliver, the next is a beast. I'll post them after I've printed some up and am sure they're worthy of polluting the web.
Do you have any tokens you would like to see portrayed in a new light?

As for the painting, is it something of yours or an artist you're a fan of? I would like to hear more.

He's... infected with guilt? The idea was that he's almost doubled over in horror at what he's done, dripping with the blood of any unfortunate he happened to block with Doran on the field.

edit: I'll include some images of just Karn later this evening. I'm actually on my way out the door.

I've made something too subtle for people to follow, it would seem.

    Vorthos Breakdown!
It begin's with Doran and his inspiring flavor text:
Each year that passes rings you inwardly with memory and might. Wield your heart, and the world will tremble.

Without explaining what it means, in magic terms it translates into Doran's static ability, which is a whopper:
Each creature assigns combat damage equal to its toughness rather than its power.

This ability has the potential to have devastating effects on the playing field. Aggro can fall flat on it's face, while walls, big-behinded plants and, most importantly, pacifists assign damage with their inner strength rather than their outer strength.
This leads to the second part:
Karn was once tricked into killing an innocent man, so he vowed never to take another life, no matter what the circumstances. As a matter of fact, he was once imprisoned and tortured by Volrath by being forced to break his vow never to injure or kill other beings. His cell's floor constantly undulated, causing him to stumble and roll about, which wouldn't have been a problem if his cell hadn't been filled with moggs crying out in pain and to be spared by his crushing mass; his own personal hell revisited (killing things wouldn't normally be such a problem on a living things psyche, but at this point in the Magic storyline, Karn can remember every moment of his life in vivid detail, so he can still picture and feel the life leaving the man's eyes-- a haunting blot on the soul of our golem friend).
Karn's pacifist nature is reflected in his card with his triggered ability:
Whenever Karn, Silver Golem blocks or becomes blocked, it gets -4/+4 until end of turn.

This makes him an effective 0/8, but with Doran's encouraging words, he becomes an effective 8/8 (at least for purposes in calculating combat damage; I'm aware that this in no way affects his actual power and has in interaction with other spells or abilities that check power) until end of turn. In other words, with Doran out, the whole world is an undulating floor forcing Karn to pillage the squishy innards of those he would otherwise harmlessly block (or be blocked) by, again negating his vow and torturing him with guilt.

I bet he wishes the cage's four year loop on his personality matrix still worked after a run-in on Lorwyn.

    Complicated .gif is complicated.
Oh, and for the record, this has nothing to do with the Scars of Mirrodin storyline.

I haven't used photoshop in some number of years and a friend asked me to do a project for him, so to practice I slapped this together. I know the animation is for crap and the optimization makes it pixelated around the edges, but it's what's within my ability at the moment.

I tried showing it to a couple of my friends online, but they don't understand it as well because of their lack of teh Magics. I thought if anyone would understand it (it being the humor behind it), it would be you guys. Enjoy.

    Karn's cruel fate:

    But what does it MEAN?!?
