Is the deck playable without Candelabra? And if so what would you replace it with?
Also could paradox engine work in something like this?
Thanks for taking the time to respond!
This may not be a "strategy" but the thing that annoys me the most is when people make their attacks and they decide to just dice roll to see who they attack. They will then later on be like "oh sorry I didnt choose to attack you my dice did." Lamest excuse ever.
edit* Understand this is a rant for things that arent normally random. So not things Ruhan of the Fomori
The goal of Legacy is winning. The goal of commander was never winning. You don't base your format on cards like vaevictis asmadi if you want it to be competitive.
I do hope you realize the community of EDH players is what makes the format. Loads of stuff is created for one thing and used for another....
I was just reading Mark Rosewater's latest article on the mothership and this kinda jumped out at me with all the discussion going on with EDH casual vs. competitive
Lesson #5: Don't confuse "interesting" with "fun"
This is a concept we talk about a lot in R&D. It turns out that there are two different kinds of stimulation—intellectual stimulation and emotional stimulation. The first is about stimulating the ways in which you think. ("Hmm, that's very interesting.") The second is about generating an emotional response. ("Ooh, that's fun!") In Magic, looking at a card file is intellectual stimulation. Playing with the cards is more of an emotional stimulation.
I personally am a competitive player and don't really care for casual big timmy games. My play group normal ends games by turn 3-5. Which to me is fun. But I do understand why people like casual as well, what are your thoughts?
I have to ask now. Since you have made primer status will you include Patron Wizard in the deck now.
I mean to my understanding most primers are supposed to be the best version of the deck even if you exclude the card personally.
Otherwise grats on primer its very well written and thought out!
Maybe as I continue to edit the thread to add more information I'll include "optional" deck lists for even more casual builds and a tuned competitive one. It would add a lot more text to the post, but if people would like to see that then just let me know and I'll put it on my to do list.
I think this is a happy medium. I have to ask as a fellow azami player (albeit a very competitive 1v1 list) do you look at Mtgtop lists? Or have you seen Brian Wiessman's Azami list? Your list seems to pull alot from both of their lists (but then again we are playing with a smaller pool of good tribal creatures).
Yeah, I feel like the slippery slope of "well I'll add this to make a little more value" can apply to T&N just as easily to PH. I get that there is a difference between creature and sorcery, but they should really share the same fate.
This I feel whether this is banned or unbanned both need to have the same fate.

A tier list. Not a huge fan of these but a good place to grab some decent lists

With the exception of a very few Commanders, Sol Ring will be in every deck so instead of this being a 100 card format it becomes a 99 card format.
I guess I would say my argument is for card diversity?
"While Emrakul is nice I feel Koz is still better for what this deck is trying to do"
We can see them as interchangeable but most any other hyper competitive EDH deck will blow Emrakul out of the water before he really gets going.
This I feel whether this is banned or unbanned both need to have the same fate.
