While I appreciate you guys getting excited over this (because it's awesome!), this is indeed custom artwork commissioned and produced by StarCityGames.com.
(And I art directed it. And Kristen killed it!)

Apr 29, 2013Posted in: Store DiscussionQuote from TrevaFTWI don't know where else to post this but it seems the is most appropriate place.
Does anyone know if there is a way when using the "Deck Builder" to make misprint/miscut or PSA/BGS graded cards not to show up?
It's really annoying clicking no foreign, no foil, and this stuff still comes up when I don't care about it all and it just clogs up the page
That is a terrific point and we are making that change asap
Feb 13, 2013Posted in: Magic GeneralQuote from thewileycoyoteDo they have a cap on attendance well before the GP? Friend just texted me today saying a Judge told him GP Yokohama is almost full.
There is no cap on attendance at GP Charlotte.
Aug 10, 2012Posted in: Magic GeneralI ordered the set and they arrived yesterday. They came rolled up, but the rolling wasn't great, so they had some creases in them. I flattened them out overnight and continue to do so today and I think they will be fine. I plan on having them framed up. They looked pretty good initially, and I think they will look great when they are framed. I will try and take a picture to share once they are finished.
I will contact you privately re: this -- if your prints are not in pristine condition I want to make them so
What do you guys think the odds are they will restock?
I think they're quite good -- in fact, we're working on that now
Does anyone know if they come with frames, even cheap plastic poster frames?
Me and my friend are planning to buy the set for our college dorm.
I'd suggest these:
$17 Frame: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001K4BYDC/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?ie=UTF8&m=A2COXGHER2MRD
$8.50 Matte: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0049O4WIE/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&m=A2COXGHER2MRD
We use them ourselves
when it's clear that you've sold at least 22 more forests than of each of the others, someone did their planning wrong.
All these good problems. Yes, our numbers were a bit off re: popularity, but it's pretty difficult to judge before things go to market.
$20 for a poster is not a good deal. Go through the artists and get a print from them if you are on a budget but want good artwork. Plus you are supporting the artist and putting more money in their pockets instead of StarCity.
Arguing "what is a good deal" aside, do note we are selling these FOR John himself. He and his agent have been VERY involved in the process, from selecting the printer, the paper, the printing process and approving the final product.
The same lithographs you find on ebay are the same ones we are selling. The exact same.
I am just pointing out that calling them a "lithograph" versus a "poster" is disingenuous. If someone is reading this thread and they're on the fence as to whether or not to buy it, I wouldn't want them to do so under the impression they were purchasing something "high end" when they, in fact, are not.
Nomenclature is what it is, but ultimately this is a high quality product that was approved 100% by the artist himself. The paper is also not "random poster paper", but chosen specifically by the artist for its quality.

Feb 20, 2012This is false and I would like an explanation as to how that program alleges this is happening. My guess is a function of the app is triggering a false alarm, but I don't know how Protect My Privacy actually works.Posted in: Magic General
It's true we do have analytics running for the app based on what you -do- in the app, but this is standard usage tracking done by virtually any app worth it's salt. We also track crashes this way so any crash can be reported and fixed.
If anyone has any questions on how SCGMobile works and what personal phone data it collects (that is, none), feel free to contact me directly at evan.erwin at starcitygames.com.
