Am I correct in my math? 60 Future Sight rares = 1 Tarmogoyf opened every 7.5 TPF drafts on average. With all the cube drafting and hence nix tix TPF drafts firing, will this be enough knock Goyf down further in the coming week?
There were some Helvaults that had Foil versions of the oversized cards and tokens. I imagine those will be what collectors will want, making the regular ones even less desirable.
... and Chas Andres = Star City shill who says whatever scg wants him to say to create hype and sell more cards.
Well, in the article he actually says that buying one of the hyped up rares (that he spends quite a bit of space talking about) at the current prices "is not likely to be a good idea." I was actually surprised at how frank the presentation was.
They were phantom packs (meaning you didn't keep the cards). So really only DKA and ISD packs went way down for a couple of days and have since rebounded quite a bit. It basically caused a lot of tickets to be converted into DKA and ISD packs.
Slightly off topic:
What happens in these cases? I was building a 4 pack sealed pool. Do they just give me another 4 packs? What are standard operating procedures in this case?
Did Walmart just do a huge reissue of these? I came across like 8 in Wal-Mart face out on the package. Should I go buy them up or did they just release a ton of them and thus make them worthless?
Force is expensive, but the dual lands and several other important cards are very cheap compared to paper. Overall it's much cheaper to play legacy online than it is to play it in paper.
I agree with this, but I feel like 'people' don't realize / consider this and only think, "ZOMG, Force is 100 tickets!"
Also, I feel like people are afraid of getting burned on FOW because if it get's rereleased it will go down.
One could argue that people could play other decks, but the idea of such a disconnect between Legacy in real life and on MTGO is off-putting.
AVR, since it's a large set, will have some kind of dual land too.
Pretty sure this isn't gong to be the case. Zendikar Block : ROE :: Innistrad Block : AVR. AVR lands will more than likely be the remaining three enemy colored utility lands (GU, UR, and RW).
Expanding on this, I would assume it is seeing more play due to Faithless Looting, ala this deck: http://sales.starcitygames.com//deckdatabase/displaydeck.php?DeckID=43850

You sure it wasn't Dragon Broodmother? http://magiccards.info/ptc/en/40.html
