Just had the first 6 man draft with my cube! It was really fun. Here's a breakdown of what got drafted:
-UW Control 1 (with access to Vedalken Shackles, Bribery, Exalted Angel, some fast mana artifacts)
-White Weenie (Typical White Weenie, but underpowered due to lack of equipment)
-GB Midrange Control (with access to Pernicious Deed, Volrath's Stronghold, Visara, Liliana etc.)
-UW Control 2 (access to Force of Will, more counters than the other, Akroma, Inkwell Leviathan)
-RB Aggro (lots of smaller black guys plus plenty of removal)
-GR Fatties (Big fat green guys, Some red hasty guys plus burn and artifact/enchantment hate)
Here's how they did:
UW Control 1: 3-0
GR Fatties: 2-1
UW Control 2: 2-1
RB Aggro: 1-2
GB Control: 1-2

I was the one who played UW Control 1. Vedalken Shackles was EASILY the MVP of the night. Being able to get it back with Academy ruins after being destroyed was maybe too good. Thinking about cutting Academy ruins for this reason, as it severely lessens the effect of artifact hate.
Because the draft was only 6 people, a whole lot of cards were left out. We found out later that some of the good equipment - Darksteel swords, Bonesplitter, Grafted Wargear, Skullclamp - ended up out of the draft. White weenie really needs some of those things to be competitive.

Like the MTGO cube recently, during the holidays we add power to change things up. We don't like playing with power all the time though.
Yea, I was thinking about doing a comment about the cards in that post, but it would be pages upon pages of text on my part if I argued why almost every card listed is worth at least consideration (and many of them worth inclusion even in a 360 cube), but that is far too much effort on my part.

Dude you seem to be putting HUGE restrictions on yourself as to what cards you add to your cube.
-Why does green acceleration have to be under 3 mana? I consider the best spell of that type to be Kodama's Reach.
-You seem to be overlooking TONS of cards because they are 'too slow'. Why do your games need to be lightning quick anyway? You are missing out on some of the most powerful and fun cards this way.
-Why do each colour's abilities have to be exclusive? There's nothing wrong with a bit of green or red card draw. For example, red is typically one of the weaker colours in cube draft. Allowing access to Wheel of Fortune can really make a positive difference for red aggro/burn.
Most sentimental: Festering Goblin - This guy has been a favourite with my friends ever since onslaught. He didn't get nerfed by the M10 rules like Mogg Fanatic did which is a bonus. I'm sure there are other, better black cards I could replace him with, especially in a small cube like mine, but for now he's staying.
I'm going to go ahead and slip up 30 of each, and order a few extra slips just in case.
Just another question, if anyone is still reading this thread, what sort of slips do you use for your cube?
I ask this because for tournaments, I like to use KMC sleeves (the japanese ones), but I've found that they start breaking rapidly after mid-long term use. For my cube, obviously I'd like something that's going to last the distance.
I'm currently constructing a cube on my own. It's 85% or so finished (I know a cube is never really finished but I hope you get what I mean). I hope to get it up and running (i.e playable) in the next 2-3 weeks. I'm going to be ordering a whole lot of slips to put my whole cube into.
OK onto the question: For a 360 card cube (8 players max), how many of each basic land would you recommend I put into slips for the cube?
This is just so I know how many slips to order etc. I apologise if this has already been covered in one of the many cube articles referenced in the Read Me First thread.
I've got a Giant Solifuge to potentially come in. Should Boggart Ram-Gang or Stormbind come out?

I'd like to expand this to a 500 count cube, or around that. I just need more good cards.
Hopefully I can make some positive changes over the next week before I draft again

I want to keep in the Thran Dynamo and Gilded Lotus because they often help me tremendously when trying to cast stuff like Time Stretch etc.
I'm going to add a Dimir Signet and leave it at that.
After reading a bit and researching cards I think the next best additions I can make to help my mana is a Thawing Glaciers and Solemn Simulacrum
