They will probably always have equips in every set or block and there is no way they will ever run out of ideas for the keyword. #2 Banding should have been #1. I mean come on man.Posted in: Improbable Things

Combat damage is done differently though. You don't have priority after assigning damage anymore. If 6 or however much damage is assigned then it goes though. No more chances to blink the spirit or any other tricks at that point.
I have to agree with that statement for the most part, and with your previous statement. All decks are viable but you have to have good cards to go with them. anything the well is not good.
With that being said. If I played an ld deck the only possible one I could consider is W/G/B. Would run grim, kotr, mage, edge, bop, and that 4/4 white guy that you choose a card type on your upkeep, sorry I dont remember its name atm. It makes a lock they cant escape and kills PWs. Basically for ld to be work it has to be based on grim IMO.
Understood. Why not play some edges yourself as an out off for other decks like doran and lark?
Also since you play spectral why not include some heaths for additional ca? seems like it could have a place eventhough its nonbasic, because all you need is turn 1 plains basically.

I like alot of your ideas. Adding in the pulse and leige increased my green spell count which is good for nettle.
I do not see a problem with the mana base. The first and often second fetchlands usually get bosks. And sapseed and leechridden are forests and swamps, so they can also be fetched when I`m in need.
It was hard not putting in fleshbag. If persecuter was in here, and I think it probably will, then it will make the cut.
Any other advise you can think of?
Hateflayer
Inner-Flame Igniter
Soulbright Flamekin
Mulldrifter
Nevermaker
and use these to set it up.
Incandescent Soulstoke
Smokebraider
Just a thought.

I generally think Condemn is the better removal. Due to the fact that against fae and other mean guys you don't even want them playing the guy once much less twice. Putting it on the bottom means it'll be awhile before you have to see it again. That's without shuffle effects obviously. And the instant means you can do it on there turn. A open means they have to be careful. Even if you don't have one in your hand, if they know you play it, it makes chances for them to mess up.
With all that being said I still kinda have to go toward Oust for your build. The main reason is that you can mage or mana denial them. And create a dead draw. That is even more powerful then just replacing a card for a

Maybe play something like Inkwell Leviathan in that spot then? Something like

3 Swamp

I understand how you feel. However who is to say that the current Extended deck is the one that will reign? Returning a Mistbind Clique or spellstutter sprite after it's died maybe the way to go with it. We will know after the next extended is out and being played more.
A 7/11 trample shroud instant may be what the deck needs to race green decks running GSS's and Cloudthreshers and the such. Also in the mirror or against any control deck if you resolve manniquin targeting an Inkwell Leviathan it's pretty much game unless you were sooo far behind already.
Doesnt really matter if it did or not. Sometimes a strong deck becomes viable if you include older cards. think goblins and then foodchain goblins. With that being said then maybe you are on to something here. I would suggest dropping the dramatic entrance and going with just manniquin.
Someone said why not play polymorph. And the answer is simple. Yes poly is stronger then the current version, but your version is not the final end all version of the deck. A deck stronger then poly may come out of this.
Why not take it in more of a fae direction? Fae is strong and just maybe adding in an unblockable untargetable 10/10 might just do the trick for you. Add in Oona`s Prowler and maybe one more discard outlet to pitch progen and eot manny it. That change adds power in the form of a 3/1 flier and progen. Manny a clique on there up keep is also potientally very strong.
Just a thought though. Good luck.
Yes, but all you need is two of the same spell to put all the counters on ascension. Other spells need copies of each. Retrace and punishing fire, and tutors are the best spells for getting counters

More nonsense. Since when does the Archmage counter any spell? I played it often and pretty sure it states any non creature spell. The Thief can counter creatures. How important is that at this moment? I do agree with keeping Archmage in here however adding more control to an aggro deck is nice. Especially if it doesn't hurt the quality of the aggro. I don't feel adding Thief is going to hurt the aggro quality all that much. Looks like it could actually benefit it by increasing the actual threats. Also makes the killing your lords much harder and can cause your opponent to stall or make mistakes. Other advantages is suppose your playing control. You could roll a wrath or something. Now in order for them to actually cast wrath they have to find an answer. Slowing down the sweeps for even a single turn can win games.
