I say neutral because I like reading up on new cards, but I also liked when i used to go to a prereleased unsuspecting of the cards i was going to open.
i was suprised how well this card worked. It is basically the same as the card that reads "Counter unless they pay the cmc", but that costed one more and didnt cantrip.
This card is good and i witnessed it during a sealed deck game.
that is a medusa...it's obvious and i can't believe noone has said that yet. Obv she will have the Venom ability (or stoning effect for u older players).
the person who created the article he pulled that from told us on themanadrain.com that maro said the lands will be in rav and i think there is another place where he says it too.
People keep speculating on what new lands will be printed in Ravnica, and more and more I'm thinking that Ravnica will have little or no lands printed in it. Perhaps something like the legendary land cycle of ChK, but no new dual lands, no "Guild Mana" lands, nothing of that sort. They're reprinting the 10 painlands in 9th... what the hell more do you want? They won't print lands that are irrelevent outside of the block, so for the most part "guild mana" lands are out. So will they reprint lairs? Do new versions of the CIP tapped lands? Make better sticky lands? No. Why would they?
I submit this to you, loyal MTG speculation audience: I don't think wizzies will print any good new lands in Ravnica block. I truly don't. What I do think is that they will find a way to better accomodate multi-color decks and mana-fixing/acceleration. I think they'll reprint something like Harrow in artifact form. Perhaps they'll make "guild mana" in such a way that you don't need a basic land to be a plains to produce white mana. Maybe they'll make another cycle of cards like the Myr mana-fixers... except ones that don't suck. Maybe they'll do one of a thousand things, but every day I doubt more and more that we will see any new lands in Ravnica block.... perhaps other than ones that are only relevant to flavor and are not new, groundbreaking mana fixers.
Or who knows... maybe they will reprint lairs. God... lairs... *shiver*
You must not have seen DIRECT QUOTES from the head guys at magic saying there will be new lands in RAV. And playable duals at that. This means they will have the subtypes of plains/swamp/etc.
If they are in fact adding these duals...does that maybe also hint towards reprinting of Fetchlands in 9th? I mean if they do they have a chance to create a completely new standard. You will be able to play basically ANY color combonation. They have never done anything like this before (on purpose...original duals don't count). I think if they do this, RAV will be a very entertaining block.
Are you kidding me? This would be the best vintage weenie ever! Plaguebearer + Gorilla Shaman!

Yeah that was a knee-slapper.
