If you're trying to simulsend and he has more refs than you it should be his choice.

You just have to pay your dues in a system like this. If you want it faster you can ask if he would send as soon as you give him a tracking #.

If this is a sale post then I'd expect the cash first before sending regardless of refs.

Other than that, if you don't feel comfortable don't trade.

If you plan to sell the card you buy with store credit for max value I would probably only get dual lands and maybe Gaea's cradle. They move easier and are on the reserve list.

The amount of people willing to buy power or semi power is small. You're limited to the guy who wants to play vintage or the guy powering his cube. There aren't many of those guys at your LGS. Not only that, but anyone buying these cards will want history and will be very skeptical on the legitimacy of the card. That's a pain in the butt if you're not versed in identifying fakes. In any case, If you plan to still go the route of power or semi power try to get a receipt from the shop that has the card name and grade.

Other than that, you're not a shop. When you sell these cards you won't get the amount that SCG sells their cards for. Any person that purchases this card is going to expect some kind of discount.

I honestly think it's how you word your trade and purchase requests. You have a lot of requests and requirements.

When you approached me for a trade a few weeks back I honestly just deleted it. For a sub $50.00 trade the questions on condition and requests to use third party seemed ridiculous from a zero feedback user.

The messaging system is a huge improvement.

Is it possible to put the feature back to see who is looking at your trade thread?

I search trade threads often on an I-Pad and it is difficult to look at their have/wants lists if they put it in spoiler format.

I would also like to see the possibility of data-basing sealed product as well. On TCG Player you are able to search terms like "Journey into Nyx - Booster Box Case (6 Boxes)" and it will pull up that information.

I cashed a ton of standard, modern, and legacy for power in the last year. I've always wanted power since a kid and I now have it. I wouldn't be surprised if many other people followed suit.

I typically don't write reviews for things that I purchase but I was extremely happy with my order from SCG. I work in sales so I know it's nice to hear the good things every once in awhile instead of a steady stream of complaints.

In any case, on 4/12 I placed an order for two MP Show and Tells and a MP Sneak Attack. With any other vendor the cards pictured above would be classified as SP or EX at the very least. Please give yourselves a pat on the back and thank you for the great service, price, and quality of cards.

Thaumaturges second ability just feels useless, even if the first one is good. What happens?
Ok, I cast a spell targeting him. It goes on the stack. Then the ability goes on the stack. Then my opponent casts removal targeting him. Hoh boy

This looks really awsome! I especially like the Akroma interactions, they seem real fun!

I think I'll test this list monday at a tournament at my LGS, I'll tell you guys how it went.
Could you ask your buddy if he could tell us more about the matches he played and his card choices?

EDIT: The cmc of the morphed Akroma is 3 right?

Sadly the cmc of a morph creature (face down) is zero. I'm 100% positive when it's in play and pretty sure that also applies to the stack. So no super-shenanigans there^^

He's semi-active here too and I gave him a link, so maybe he'll answer himself. I can give some amount of insight in card choices, not too much on his matches (since I only tested with him, so I didn't get to see his hand / play choices etc.).

A few quick notes on choices:

I know that he has liked Wall of Omens and Sea Gate Oracle in his "normal" Pod list too. He has an affection for value and Wall/Oracle are fairly good with Angel while being decent blockers early game. They also make it easier to draw into the combo/Pod seeing as he doesn't like Chord and therefore runs none. So basically it's card selection+draw in place of tutoring (Chord).

Sower has really impressed me when I had to face it, especially with an active Pod of course, but he can definitely give you more insight on that one.

The other one-offs are common in Pod, not too much to explain there. I guess Witness is weaker without Chord in the deck, but then again I suggested he put it back in, so maybe he doesn't even like it ^^

Momentary Blink was his idea and from what I get it's just all-around value. Saving your threats / combo-pieces from removal (note that Kiki can still combo after he got blinked, so technically you can go for the combo, get Kiki removal-targeted, Blink it and go off), drawing extra cards with Wall/Oracle if needed, even resetting Wall of Roots, and of course flipping Akroma. I think thats also the reason he cut the Flickerwhisp. Without Chord you literally only have 4 Pods to search it and it can never save a creature.

If you're going to try it I wish you the best of luck and look forward to your results!

Hey Germagic, thanks for posting up this list. I played against Lurgold in the finals of a daily with my Kikipod list. With Wall of Omens and Sea Gate Oracle he was always a turn faster. When I played against his list it felt much more like playing against true combo as I watched him draw and sift through his deck.

How do you feel the match ups are against Splintertwin and Storm? With his version I'm assuming you have no issues against aggros/jund/junk type decks?

    Trade 1: Cavern
Trade 2: Sealed Innistrad box. Overall fun set to draft with the possibility to open a foil Snapcaster Mage or Liliana of the Veil.
Trade 3: I still take the fetches here. I prefer original printings over the reprints. Bobs have just as much chance to see continuous reprints as the fetch lands.
    Trade 4: Foil Snapcaster

The odds of getting a foil snapcaster or a foil liliana are pretty damn slim. I mean a foil rare has a rarity way beyond getting "specific mythic" in a booster box. A foil mythic has a rarity wayyy beyond that. You could bust 10 cases of Innistrad 60 booster boxes and not even get one foil lilly or snapcaster.

    Trades above me:

Pile B easily in the first (Shocks are a much better long term than the other stuff.)
Pile A in the second (Blood Moon is overpriced right now it will come down, Kiki is going to hold value better.)

True the odds are very small but they are still there. Plus, you have to look at the value of the sealed Innistrad box going forward. It's not going to be a cheap one in the next few years. I think it could easily go in the $300 dollar range.

Hey Brian, congrats on your win and thanks for doing Kiki pod well.

Could you give a list of the decks you played against on the way to the finals? How many times did you lose game 1 in your matches?

What did you guys think about the GP Kikipod Deck list ran by Brian Liu?

I was surprised to see his list was similar to the first few versions of pod with the Chord of callings, wall of roots, and Fire-lit thickets. Does this answer the question about chord being too clunky and do we need to bring the deck back full circle?

Definitely shows the attributes of the new Chinese fakes based on the videos that I have seen.

    - Rounded corners
    - Extremely bold paint brush and artist credit
    - Glossy almost reflective finish (I believe that there is a matte and glossy version of the fake though)

    Some other observations:

    - Kerning was supposed to be a problem with the fakes but the spacing between the letters and words look very similar.
    - The fake appears to be more washed out in coloration next to the real card.

Can you do a light test on the two cards? The fake should be opaque letting very little to no light through.

I would suggest starting with Koopa's build. Things will be in flux though with the recent unbannings. In an Aggros heavy match up I would say go to 4x Kitchen Finks and possibly a few Wall of Roots.

In regards to deceiver exarch you will want to run at least one so you can combo out. Many people have been running two lately. Also, izzet staticaster should be better than sparkmage especially if we see bitter blossom.

Fauna Shaman is in and out of favor but she can be very good and can single handedly win games with her fetch ability. Treat her as Birthing Pod #5.

The chains and other combos can be found in the primer. It's easy once you've played a few games with the deck.
