I think this wouldn't be the smartest question to ask but why not wall of denial instead of omen? It's just one extra card draw. Is it really necessary?
umm I assume your talking about a EDH simic deck? I skipped rav block since Kamigawa killed the game for me for a while. I don't really know much about it. I only do MTG casual EDH these days. that being said, there are only really 2 generals for it Kraj and Momir Vig, Simic Visionary. both have really different play types. Kraj is about the combos and abilities. Momir is probably the stronger of the two as he fetches utility creatures the situation calls for at any given time and a pretty solid draw engine by himself.
To be honest Kraj for me is just a way to have fun in EDH large games and really isn't that competitive.
yeah, i agree, simic deck is definitely not a competitive theme. I remember that you can control target creature with a +1 +1 counter on it. That would be so sick. This cytospawn mage or something...

and same with DIMIR, i played that deck as well. SUCHA horrible deck until new cards like mind funeral archive trap etc etc.
It's the morons who go out and actually spend x amount of dollars on these rares. This is what keeps the prices so high. If we don't spend the money, the prices will drop, it's as simple as that.
yeah, i completely agree. I've noticed some of my friends (I'm still in highschool) spend like 1000$ every month. Why? Parents that spoil their kid. And when they do work, they start spending $1500 a month. X( not cool.
Anyways, if everyone stops buying jace the mind sculptor, the price will drop.

I'd like to add that MTG has ruined the game for people who still wanna play old cards. Adding baneslayer angel made some cards look weak. The cost for it is ridiculous. The MTG staff must be high when they created cards like that.
Idk why jace the mind sculptor is so high, it's a great card, but I mainly want it because he is my favourite planeswalker.
Well self explanatory, I was watching a few war movies in the past few days and actually looked into research since the subject was interesting.
For example, I can understand why USA participated in WWII but how about the Vietnam war? They went there because they were afraid Vietnam were turning communist. Was it really worth so many people dieing on both sides? Even now, USA is in Iraq, some say that George Bush was doing it for oil or something. Even though Obama promised many things, many of them aren't really happening.
I don't believe in stupid questions:
So many decks that run more than one color find it's hard to keep the deck flowing smoothly with just basic lands (in my case forest and islands). With lands that produce both UandG it is easier and more reliable to cast a variety of spells. Since a hand may be all blue or all green at any given time lands that produce both are more versitile.
It just simply breaks down to I would rather have my lands be able to produce both types of mana than be limited to a single color.

Hmm, another thing, I am intending to fixing up my simic deck. I started playing magic during the ravnica time which seems like the most favourite block to many people.
So what should i focus on? TBH simic isnt a popular thing since graph was in only one block. So which strategys can i follow?

No card printed in recent memory will be banned or restricted. I can't even think of a recent card that could be banned or restricted in older formats (there hasn't been a Standard banning since Mirrodin). Banning requires a card to be overplayed, unfun, and very hard to answer.
