Teia Rabishu posted a message on How to build a deck that isnt so expensive? (beginner)Talking about proxies is one thing, and we can even have discussions about counterfeits with regards to their impact on the game, but advocating buying counterfeit cards is something MTGS cannot allow. In the meantime would you think terramorphic/evolving wilds combination would suffice until then?
No! Two colour deck should be fine without fetches but when you run fetches don't run things that make your land ETB. Without fetches just don't run things like Grim Lavamancer that depend on them for fodder. -

tinfist1776 posted a message on Getting Started in Legacy and Legacy Budget Primer v4I've been working on a budget Belcher list and it has been running quite consistently. Maybe this might work for what you are looking for.Posted in: Legacy Archives

This is a great way to get into legacy if you are playing on a budget. What I found that was very helpful in all of these are the saving money and tips section. I made a change jar and I had no idea I had that much change and loose money laying around. Also i found that on eBay if they have or best offer you can offer below the price to get a good deal on cards. I just got a FoW for $55 with an offer that is saving 25+ dollars wich really adds up. This is the place to be if you just want to start playing legacy. I also recommend making proxies of 3-4 decks you are thinking about making It really tells you how you play and what types of decks you like. -

hanse posted a message on Getting Started in Legacy and Legacy Budget Primer v3I don't know if someone already said it, but never forget that an HP card functions the same way as a shiny NM/M card. You can buy staples for less if you don't care about how the state of the card is, as long as it's playable.Posted in: Legacy Archives - To post a comment, please login or register a new account.

4 Llanowar Elves
4 Elvish Visionary
4 Wall of Blossoms
4 Wood Elves
1 Reclamation Sage
4 Roaring Primadox
4 Stampeding Serow
4 Stampeding Wildebeests
1 Vital Splicer
1 Arborback Stomper
1 Ridgescale Tusker
1 Somberwald Stag
1 Soul of the Harvest
4 Rhonas’s Monument
20 Forest
I'm currently thinking of changing the numbers on the cost reducers. Monument is legendary, so I think a 3/3 split would have been better. Emerald has a lower CMC, too. I also think the deck doesn't have enough turn one plays. Any ideas?

As a side note, about 20 more decks are scheduled to be added within the coming week. So, be sure to check back in a bit for even more interesting budget lists!
If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please comment, email, or whatever! I'm always open!
This guide was written for all budget-minded Legacy players. Decks have been sorted by the general archetypes of Aggro, Control, Combo, and Midrange, as well as by cost. If you have any questions, e-mail me at Spooky386@gmail.com, pm me here, or post here in this thread!
As a note to the mods, if possible I would like this thread stickied and my previous version archived. (thanks!) If the current Google Doc format is not in line with MTGSalvation forum rules please let me know as soon as possible so that I can work to reformat the content into something acceptable.

You are running a few more 2 drops than most burn decks with this list, thanks to the whole, no swiftspear and no chain lightning thing. Because of this, you might want to test out one less flame rift for one extra mountain. Hope all this helps!
