he attacks for 4 on turn 4, 8 on turn 5 if you want. thats not exactly a whole ton of time. all you have to do is play him on turn 2 or 3 and he WILL get there for significant damage before he goes down unless they snipe him right away. worstcase scenario, you waste 4 mana on him. even if thats the case he will likely have still hit for 2, and possibly quite a bit more.
okay, I will give you that one, I read the mechanic wrong, I didn't know you could level up more than once a turn
that one will be a must deal with card but some decks might have a way to snipe hime right away
Thats just not feasible though. A 3/3 first striker or a 4/4 flyer are the kinds of things that demand answering immediately. And that is long before you max level them.
The levelers that are going to be good enough to see serious play are the ones that are good at their middle stage. There are several of them.
those ones are probably ones that will have to be dealt with but most the flyer will still need to spend a fair amount of mana on, so people will have enough time to figure out how to deal with it
I think the smaller ones might be used somewhat frequently but the only decks that I could see the 10+ mana ones being played in is decks with a lot of mana acceleration or maybe decks with ways to bring the cards to their graveyards and then put them to play like that
one good one...and alight i'll give you that, a 3/3 first strike for two is pretty good. But levelers are usually too mana intesive to be worth it. The funniest thing with them will be when someone gets them up to their ultimate level and then they just gets bounced.
Bouncing allies is counter productive.
allies were cool but I can't really see myself getting into levelers because as you say, they seem too mana intensive for my liking and people will probably wait until you've maxed them out when they bounce them

It's a really great card game in my opinion
