are there any other good creature auras for Bruna? white isn't my usual color so I'm kind of drawing a blank
also updated decklist! i like the invisible stalker & Ethereal Armor idea so im going to try it out
totally forgot about Curse of Exhaustion! seems like an awesome addition any suggestions on what i should cut and what other enchantments i should add?
I was looking for a way to use sphere of safety, and I thought that a control deck was the best place for it. I'm not sure if the deck has enough early action to slow down the aggro decks enough to be able to stabilize though. Anyways, on to the list:
A few weeks ago I made a draft deck that worked out pretty well and I thought it would be interesting to try to scale it up into a full sized standard deck. So here it is:
I was thinking about this as a mono red deck (for casual, maybe modern but I've never played modern so I don't know what to prepare for)
My plan for the deck was Burning vengeance, Past in flames, and a pile of 1 red mana burn spells (shock firebolt tarfire etc) I didn't think of using storm cards or even rituals but they would definitely improve the deck
Would this deck still work without birthing pod? or is that more a key piece than it looks like at first glance?
because id like to make an ooze deck but dont want to shell out on pods (of course they get expensive after i trade all mine D: )
On the subject of Extractor being fragile, Apostle's Blessing is something you could potentially use to protect it with (and it's on theme too!)
I totally forgot Apostle's Blessing could target artifacts maybe I should try a few of them out. I think that the FNM around here is casual enough that I'd only have to worry about one or two people being able to rip appart the rage extraction so I think I'm going to order what i need and try it out in the next week or two
Do you think I should switch all the core duals to the scars ones or some split of them? Since the scars duals would always come in tapped after turn 3 where as the core ones have a chance to come in untapped.
I was playing around with a rage extractor deck last night on cockatrice and found that it actually worked out pretty okay so I thought I would post it here and see if anyone had any suggestions or was running something similar
I pretty much put the deck together from looking at cards with phyrexian mana costs and some support for them so there may be some super obvious inclusion i missed but anyways onwards to the list:
I was also considering trying to fit a prototype portal to make a few extra rage extractors but I wasn't sure if it would be that helpful or if it would just end up being win-more
Any advice would be very appreciated, also this is my first time starting a new thread so hopefully I didn't do anything horribly wrong
I've been thinking of making a white infect deck but I'm not sure honor the pure would be the best way to do it. It seems like this deck would be slower and doesn't have to many answers to big threats like titans or wurmcoil engine I think that if you're going for a more proliferate kind of angle like this looks like to me you would want more removal like journey to nowhere or O-ring. Personally I'm more of a fan of really fast agro type infect decks (R/G swing and pump to legal kinda shenanigans) I'm not sure off the top of my head if white has any pump but I know it has things like stave off and brave the elements to sneak damage in and you could also run mutagenic growth for 2 life to get some unexpected damage. Maybe I don't have the same vision you do for it but I think any infect deck should be full of necropede & ichorclaw myr goodness
If you wanted to stick with mostly white creatures I think 4 brave the elements is just about necessary since it'll let you get through with your whole team unless they have more than one color or them pesky artifacts in the way. Didn't mean to nitpick just my $0.02 hope it helps
EDIT: maybe a slower control build with True Conviction? Not sure if it would work but double strike lifelink and infect sounds pretty sick to me lol
I used to play a blue/red kiln fiend deck with some of my buddies, it wasn't standard but it was pretty much Distortion Strike, low cost burn, kiln fiend, goblin tunnelers, and a few counters to help keep kiln fiend alive long enough to finish it.

You almost need the speed and pressure the bears put on your opponent. If you force an early doomblade that means one of your lords sticks around to do its job.

the pacifisms are mostly there to help slow down zombies/other agro decks
