They should intro something like Kool-Aid or Marlboro points on each package. Then you can trade in Points for Promos. That was always fun collecting them and getting bonus stuff
There must be a different advertisement promoting the Helvault than that one? I can see no shred of evidence there that you're going to be getting a $100 bill in that box. It could have been those skittles they gave out for Halloween. Would that have pleased you more?
I think it's awesome that some people got some amazing stuff. You buy in the Helvault event to play the game. You got 6 boosters to play with and the offer of prize support. The Helvault is icing on the cake. Anybody complaining about not getting a Judge Foil should also complain about not opening a foil planeswalker in your booster packs.
Enjoy your trinkets from WotC, they're a cool gesture.
How would you have felt if you did crack a Judge Foil tho? I think that alone makes the experience pretty cool. You were there for the tournament. You got to play the new set early. You had a 1 in 200 chance of leaving with a foil Judge promo. You got a 20 sided di. Are you really bitter because you didn't win a lottery? Would you have felt better if they gave out 6000 scratch tickets and you still lost? They didn't have to do the Helvault. It was a first time promotion. Voice your concerns directly to WotC and they might make it better in the future. Who knows?
I'm the fattest man and your recipe scares me. That's about 2 ounces of butter per wing, no?
I don't know if its a bad thing, but I usually order up my wings with a little sweetness. Be it BBQ, teriyaki or pineapple. Im not a fan of Tabasco and many times places will spice their wings with such. I've had some atomic fire bird in my day tho, and I do enjoy some of the more interesting spice choices.
I would suggest keeping the Putrid Imp in as it's another 1 drop, then using Strength of Night as an Overrun affect. If you can keep the heat on the ground with creatures, the Strength can win out of nowhere.
And I totally agree with the Nameless Inversion include. It's interaction with Ghoulcaller's Chant is DOPE.
When I ran my Doran deck I would use him most often to get a Dual Land on top, my mana was always on point in that deck. Sometimes I would use it to get a Crib Swap or something similar.
I constantly censor myself on the main board, because I have no idea what mood a mod might be in at the time. There's too many places where opinion or forethought are not allowed. I liked the Gutter because I was allowed to wander away from the main topic if I felt like it. I didn't have to worry about something I said being wrong.
I could also use cuss words, which makes me feel cool.
It's not "quickly" dismissed as trolling, it's being construed as trolling because he's continuously rehashing old points made through out this entire thread. Additionally he's adding analogies to child rapists and taking phrases made by Gutter members out of context. We are assuming that he is perpetrating these attempts out of trolling, and not ignorance.
If the Gutter is to remain closed, can we have a new hidden forum where we are allowed to use varying forms of sarcasm, irony and jest freely from literal thinkers.
I lmao at people claiming the Gutter members are obviously a detriment to MTGS because we are being too polite. Rich. Really rich. The fact of the matter is we've been keeping to our own little cave and playing by the rules.
The Gutter was a courtesy to ALL MEMBERS of this forum, even those that had no idea it existed. We kept our vulgarities and what not to that forum so the rest of the site could operate squeaky clean. Certain people conduct themselves in a way that they become A LIGHTNING ROD to criticism. When members of the gutter post outside of the Gutter we do so with the respect and integrity that it takes to ensure our posts will carry the most power.
We're not idiots. You can call it trolling, I call it effective posting. The fact that the staff members of this website have access to the Gutter and can see everything posted in there gives them MORE power, than if we are forced to conduct ourselves privately. The Gutter may be private to the general population, but it's an open book to those in the know.
Shutting the Gutter down was a sign of weakness on the staff's part. The criticisms of Woapppleane were referred to as "the straw that broke the camel's back", but it wasn't. It was a choice made to protect the thin skin of a moderator who used trollish attacks of his own. We're not gangsters or thugs. We're a group of people who have found a home on MTGS, only to have it foreclosed.
It's cowardice. It's sad. It's irreversable, to boot. Now that this fiasco has made the Gutter public, it's lost it's value. Somebody PM me when they open a second Gutter, I want in. The original one is ruined.
After letting what has happened sink in, I am just really sad. I remember so many good moments in the Gutter and as of recent, it has been a hallow shell of itself. It's almost as if the staff here is putting a bullet in the head of a tired dog. I think back to all of the times the Gutter stirred up conversations and sure, you can call it trolling, big deal. I call it dialogue. It's devil's advocate and it's valuable. Some people can't see past their own arguments.
To Kraj, thanks for your postings. Thanks for putting up with the Gutter, in a time that was FAR, FAR more problematic than now. Strength vs. Weakness, I suppose.
The question I asked was whether Macius had gone through the proper channels to review the infraction. There is exactly one person that can answer that question. You're not that person.
If you'll notice, I never answered your question. Overwhelming new users with warnings and infractions and performance reviews in their first week seems a bit more complicated than a kind warning. The whole spam issue still could have been handled with a warning rather than an infraction for a first week user.
With all due respect, but the fact that he issued an infraction that you disagree with hardly makes him a blight. Also, the infraction has expired by now, and you had ample opportunity to have the infraction reviewed. Did you go through the proper channels to do that?
It was his first week here. You think you could give people a little leeway for something as menial as a Necro... something I believe isn't even infraction worthy anymore.
My theory is that people who look at the rules as black/white are the people who would be lost without them. Then adhere to the guidelines as divine right, because without them they would probably start mouth breathing their neck beard hairs to a point a suffocation. Also known as lose the ability to function.
In a situation like that, give the guy a private message or something less drastic. I imagine it's some sort of self gratification for Wauoplaene to thrust judgment on the ill-informed. A kind warning would have served for a healthier, happier community.

It's effectively a closed topic in forum form.
