My big question is what are people using to refuel their hands after dumping everything with Chief Engineer? I feel like this deck needs a reset button kind of card. Or at least a card advantage engine.

Are planeswalkers your only win conditions? You should at least put alternate win conditions like Polukranos in the sideboard.

Aurelia, the Warleader is oddly missing from this list. I feel that would be another to consider. I also feel that you need some sort of CA engine to dig through the expensive cards to find you Results, Ramp, etc.

Not sure if posted above but you have to have 60 cards in your deck. 40 cards is only in Limited, which includes only Draft and Sealed. So go with the 60 cards so you can at least play haha.

If you want to play all one drops, you have to play Orzhov Charm and/or Immortal Servitude to make it worth it.

Might I suggest Ral Zarek as an extra enabler for inspired? Plus he can always be used as a double Lightning Bolt when needed.

You should play Prophetic Flamespeaker. Great card. Fits theme.

I would add Elvish Mystics or similar mana creatures and a mana sink to give you an alternate win condition and redundancy.

Just have to stop in and say that this deck is a blast to play. I don't have issues against Aggro, due to walls and removal and their lack of disruption. I have issues against Control, specifically removal heavy and counterspell heavy decks like WU or Esper. Unfortunately, I don't know what to sideboard against these decks without diluting the deck. So can someone running the RUG version post their sideboard and explain your choices?

On another note, as far as win conditions go, you should never need anything but Archaeomancer and Turn//Burn pre-board. These are part of your combo and yet they can act as win conditions, either becoming a million hasty 1/2s or being recurred and cast a million times respectively. If you can find another win condition that does double duty like the above then great. But don't throw in win conditions that serve only that purpose when there are far more synergistic options. However, I recommend putting Doorkeeper in the sideboard against Control for a Plan B.

Yeah, Knowledge and Power is pretty awful. Burning Vengeance was way easier to trigger, costed less, and didn't have an activation cost and still didn't get played competitively (but I still tried Frown ) I would just drop the scry idea and go with UR Control with Keranos, Ral Zarek, etc. Plus, Flamespeaker Adept has no place in a Control deck.

I've played this deck since the combo was first discovered. The power of the deck is the inevitability the combo gives you added to the fact that you can win just by smashing face when your combo is disrupted. The combo also allows us to steal games that we otherwise had no business winning. To start off, I would suggest cutting the Hydras, the clog your 5 drop slot, and Forced Adaptation. Then I would cut down to 3 Ajani and Sage of Hours down to 1. I would suggest Scavenging Oozes for synergy and early blocker. I'll try and post a revised list later with the New Ajani because he only made the deck better.

I'm trying to look for ways to make biovisionary work too.. but sometime's the problem is not about opponents killing the card but they just outright kills you before you get 4 of them in play... the devotion/aggro decks are just too fast

The cool thing about Biovisionary decks is that there are so many clones that you gain a large amount of versatility from. You can copy your opponent's best creatures to slow them down or even beat them with their own stuff (surprisingly common actually) or you can copy your own utility creatures to slow down aggro (think Omenspeaker or Brindle Boar). I will say though that the deck REALLY needs access to a good creature with lifelink that doesn't exist currently.

I always drop by these threads to suggest BUG Biovisionary as a deck. Thoughseize and Duress keeps removal out of their hand, Progenitor Mimic and Clone up the number of Biovisionary to 12+. A singleton Immortal Servitude can help you win out of nowhere. Lots of creature dig in green too. Just an idea that's really out there and fun to play.

I want a Burning Vengeance type trigger for scry, hopefully on an artifact or enchantment. I also want the lesser gods to be awesome. Mostly hoping for more build around me cards, Standard seems to be light on those.

It's bad against aggro or when you find yourself racing. It's good against control because it's early pressure and can pump itself. It's ultimately a meta call.
