Faust watches in silence looking questioningly at Orim when the girl asked her question. He would also like to know how they were going to get to Tolaria.
Faust looks on in surprise at the young girl who seemed to be one of his traveling companion. So young and already a mage...
He looked at the goblin that completed the group. Where a goblin goes, fire follows.
Turning back to Orim he answers her question. "ready as i'll ever be"
After wandering around the city Faust finds himself drawn to a building that radiates with a familiar energy. He steps in, looking around the place waiting for someone to approach him. "not the worst place that i have had to sleep in..."
he murmurs to himself
hearing about a quest to fetch ingredients Faust decides to leave before anyone greets him
Name: Faust
Age: 19
Gender: male
Race: human
Height: 6ft
Weight: 100lbs
Appearance:
Faust is a slender troubled teenager who never seems to smile or show much expression. Black messily cut hair sits atop a pale expressionless face. His only striking feature is his eyes; grey stormy eyes that seems as if they have seen the end of the world. He wears a black cloak covering his loose tattered clothing. Chained around his neck he wears a Cross, the size of a small dagger.
Usually he puts his hood up to avoid the notice of people around him.
Background:
Faust grew up in a small peaceful village, untroubled by the rest of the world. It was near a forest miles away from other towns. The villagers were friendly people who specialized in white mana, many having the ability to heal minor injuries. Faust's parents were killed by a wild beast when he was still a toddler, and ever since then he was cared for by his sister, 16 at the time, and the occasional help from the rest of the community.
One day a strange creature visited his village, a humanoid beast with metal skin and vicious claws where his hands should have been. Little did he know he would forever be haunted by the creature that introduced itself as a phyrexian. The phyrexian came to preach to the village about his master, and the advantages of being compleated. His village refused, and explained to the creature that they did not wish to be compleated, but that they would not stop the Phyrexians from continuing to preach to other towns. The phyrexian told them he respected their wishes and left.
The next day at dawn the village was swarmed by a horde of phyrexians. It was a one-sided fight, for the village was not used to battle. Faust, who was 7 at the time, was hidden by his sister in a well. When the slaughter was over, Faust climbed out and found his village razed, his people slaughtered and their bodies mutilated. But he found he could hear faint whispers and felt the presence of the villagers, unable to rest in their grave. The grief he felt from the spirits was overwhelming, and he found he was able to channel their misery into energy, dark energy with which he was able to use to summon powerful beasts. He vowed to avenge his destroyed village and dead sister.
The only surviving thing left from his village was his sister's Cross. He carries this with him always, as a reminder of his people, and because he feels the prescence of his sister whenever it is around his neck, looking out for him even after life.
Ever since then Faust has wandered the continent, seeking to grow strong enough to be able to stop the phyrexians and finally fulfill his vow.
