    Damn it!
    Faust curses at his own stupidity. Acting quickly, he grabs the piece of parchment then calls one of his specters to carry him in the air after the bandit. He commands the other to follow, determined to take down this thief.

    Faust looks around for the piece of parchment he had seen.
    Just show me your pockets. If you haven't stolen anything then you have nothing to worry about.

    I don't think that's the only thing you've stolen. There were plenty of people that that madman killed, each one ripe for pickings by an experienced bandit.
    He conjures more swamp to existence, and another beast to join the first, in case the bandit tries to fight.

    Faust sighs. He had hoped that this could be resolved without any complications. Now it looks llike he'll have to do things the hard way.
    He gathers mana once again, making a brief pact with outside forces before conjuring the familiar winged demon to life.
    He instructs the creature to block the man's path to his horse.
    Give up everything that you've stolen.

    He commands, continuing to stare at the man with cold eyes. He doesn't take his hand off his weapon but he doesn't draw on any more mana either.

    Faust makes a move to grab him, holding his Cross with his other hand to gather the power of the swamps around him.

    Suspicion grabs a hold of Faust as he glances at the familiar looking parchment.
    That looks a lot like a bounty, like the one I have...and that picture...am I imagining things?
    He doesn't know whether he's being paranoid, or if he should listen to his instincts, screaming at him of the masked swordsman's true identity.
    Then a thought flashed into his head.

    You know I've been thinking.
    He says out loud, turning to look at the swordsman.
    I got told that a bandit was seen roaming these parts. I thought that that man,
    he points at the mage's corpse
    was the bandit, but his victims still had all their belongings. Now I think differently.
    He looks the swordsman, ransacking the corpse, straight in the eyes from under his hood.
    You have any ideas?

    Faust nods his head at the mercenary.
    Was just in the right place at the right time.
    He glances up at the sky, taking note of the growing darkness. He wonders if he can make it to Dars before it becomes too dark.
    I should get going.

    Faust averts his eyes from the mage's corpse. Even though he knows the man's death will save many lives, he is still disturbed by it.
    He turns to the swordsman, who doesn't seem fazed at all by what had happened.
    Just glad I was here in time, although it looked like you were fine on your own.
    Dismissing his creatures and ties to the swamps, he asks,
    So whats your story?

    Quickly, while the mage's attention is on the swordsman, he sends his winged demons to finish him off, letting them feed to their heart's delight.

    It's useless, you're in no condition to fight.
    Gathering shadows around him once again, he calls forth another specter.
    He turns to the man with the blade and sees him clearly for the first time.
    That's an unusual mask..
    He's nearly dead. He won't be preying on anyone in his state.

    Faust looks at the man he assumes to be the bandit.
    It looks as if he's badly hurt...
    He draws mana once more, accidently catching the man's attention.
    Hold still bandit, you're outnumbered and outmatched.
    He makes a quick gesture, a whirling of shadows, that materialises into the shape of a winged beast, which lets loose a shrieking cry, glad to be in the world.
