I got one right here. Imagine, if you will, a teacher more concerned about retelling past parties then actually teaching the class. Imagine that this teacher is so absent minded, that they have the entire class of 25 buy the wrong ($225) book. And lastly, imagine that this teacher is in charge of a course that, altho not directly connected to the main, controls wheather or not you can take courses in the second half of the first year.
And to clearify, this was first year. The first year of this course cost $2,000. It was a 3 year course, and lead to a choice, basically, to 3 different programs later on. And she had no idea what she was doing. The course in question had gained a reputation as having a 50 to 60 percent drop out rate. Mostly, as I and my class mates found out, do to her. I ended up quitting, and fortunatly, got my money back, after she got caught stumbling into class hammered off her ditzy...behind, on morning. Turns out, 30 somethings with no prior experience should not be trusted to teach the Paralegal class how best to cheat on the breathyizer. (Hint: her method only worked if you were a lady...and could pass of as drunk and seductive.)
TL;DR...I lost out on 6 months of education cause the campus wanted to tap into the wealth of unemployed, new gradutes for teachers.
Thats about right, from what I've read so far. Old walkers, like Urza, could planeswalk pretty much whenever and where ever they wanted. One of the perks of being god-like, I imagine.
Neo walkers, like Jace or Elspeth, are mortal. If you stabbed Urza with a sword, he'd probably laugh before blowing you and the continent you're on to the abyss. Stab Jace with the same weapon, and he isn't getting up. They need alot of time and energy to planeswalk. So, all it would have taken to mess with Elspeth, would be a heavy blow to the head.
Ahh...now, this is really what I needed. Something of actual substance. What do we have here, now. Intrigue, betrayal, secrets...and the possiblility of romance renewed between our leading lady, and a certain blue mage.
All in all, wonderfully done. Suspense is well and truly built, and now I'm simplly waiting for the next update. Speaking on that, I don't think it matters when it gets put up, as long as it does. This writing is definatly worth waiting for.
I knew the other creature would get wither. But, thanks for letting me know that the counters don't get put on the wurm. That was what I was getting at.
And about the Etched Monstrosity. I've heard that it gets the counters even with Melira, and I've heard that it doesn't...both of those on this site. So, which one is the correct statment?
As always, the best things are worth waiting for. Take all the time you need. After all, I know I'm hooked on this :). Eagerly awaiting the next chapter, as always. Goodness, I sound like a fanboy sometimes .
Ahh...this is why I check Salvation first thing in the morning. Great set-up, as expected.
And with an added bonus. Jace is still not a jerk. I was actually worried you would just default him to moron/stuck up jerk after his last...umm...talk with Rana. Thankfully, you didn't fall for that trope. I think thats what it is, at least...
Anyway, I'll just say that this promises to be one of my favorite sections. My first tribe may have been Elementals, but I did love me some Fae...What?
Mine came about from the first deck I ever cleaned house with. Red/Black Shadowmoor precon, modified heavily. No one knew how to deal with wither at the time, and all it took was a Kulrath Knight and some pump. And, ok, some Everlasting Torment. Anyway, I still have the blasted thing, but I haven't used it in years lol. As for the name...Black and Red burn. Made sense back then. Still does, actually...
Now, this is why I love your writing. You get the back ground done quickly, you establish the important details, and provide a great hook for next time (as if I needed one :p). The next section promises to be another great time. And of course, I already love the setting :).
Would Training Grounds lower the cost on Sedris, The Traitor King's share ability? I'm not sure how the Unearth would work with Sedris, or with Training Grounds in general.

Thanks again.
And as an aside, Melira doesn't let the Etched Monstrosity enter as a 10/10, does she?
Thank you in advance.
