agreed they are expensive, but, the non-demon creatures are in because they are less harsh on mana cost, Wisp is only B, and regens. Skitter is 3, but discourages attackers less than 4 Power. Which will usually buy my guys time to bust out, I also see the legendary land thought, perhaps I'll drop one and add a Urborg.

Hi all, with the influx of new demons and my love of the awesomeness of them I created this deck, I would love some observations on it if you think it's good, maybe improvements? Just conversating on Demon decks is cool too!

Yes, I know it isn't exactly 60 cards but the flow seems pretty good, it should all be fairly obvious what it does, the Skitter and Wisp are for blocking whatever comes my way while I'm trying to ramp out some Demons. Necroskitter also has a really rad combo with Carnifex.

I have a skeleton deck that actually does pretty good for itself, You have too many 1 of 2 of, you need more consistency. Skeletal Vampire is pretty cool even if he isn't that great, Skithyrix is boss for skeletons decks. He does heavy D so his Infect isn't a real detriment, I use the Skeletons to clog the lanes so Skittles or Vampiric Skeleton can do damage. I also use Reassembling Skeleton like you do, I use Attrition to keep the board under my control, I also use Lashwrithe as another win con.

I would consider Innocent Blood here for creature hate since you don't care about losing creatures really.

I think if you are worried about speed, fixing your lands would help, CIPT lands really slow you down. The other obvious speed enhancement would be just W Knights. I know you want GW but you want to beat there face in, W Knights do this just as well maybe not as flashy but just as well. It removes the land problem by only needing plains. Plus you can add good power Knights like Accorder Paladin. Kinsbaile Cavalier can be your finisher, Meadowgrain Knight can be a big threat guy or defender, Student of Warfare is always a threat. You can also run things like Oblivion Ring, maybe an AEther Vial to really ramp out aggression. STP is a great card especially since you will be dealing heavy D with Knights. I run a heavy aggro Knight deck that only has spell slots for O-Ring and STP. Hero of Bladehold is rad, I know she makes soldiers but its still cool and helps a lot.

It's not bad, but its also not really fantastic like Knights can be. I don't know I like some of the G Knights you are running, and I see the idea, but I feel a white deck is just better for Knights. Also Knight of THe White Orchard is awesome, why would you remove him!?!?! I don't know, I was going to start dissecting it and say some things but, the deck you got there is pretty good, and a sound strategy, yours is more comboey than White Knights, and thats cool. Really though put White Orchard in over Tithe.

    Quote from dumbledork
    For halted:

My belief is not "let it be." I was simply stating that it is not surprising a suicide deck that spams the board with creatures is having difficulty vs. a tempo/aggro deck which also spams the board with creatures and removal... The right amount of spot removal can make it hard for any deck that is creature based for that matter, and vamps and zombie decks pack plenty.

It seems like you didn't even read what I had posted - I suggested he try real-sui black to get a feel for strategy, then port those strategies to his zombie deck! He seems to prefer a different play-style, and that is ok, it is a free world;) If someone wants to sling Unholy Grotto with some Fleshbag marauder because it fits his play style and works his meta ? only then, you can say my belief is "let it be"

heheh>.< Nah, this won't happen everytime. Standard vampires was a very strong deck, bringing home a 1 spot in a couple SCG opens I think. Would you play a card that said:

;] Gatekeeper of malakir, nighthawk, bloodghast?! These are hardly crap cards (heck, vampire lacerator is even strictly superior to carnophage:p). And (not for anything) that does sound a little ignorant Halted and I am surprised because you are usually open to a wide array of strategies.

Simply, the man doesn't believe aggro/suicide is optimal in his area. Maybe its because he isn't playing it right, or maybe it's because his friends decks are really good against it, or both. He should play some suicide black to get used to it. But, most importantly, he needs to play what works for him. Just as you tell me I make a mistake in "not helping him learn from error", you make a mistake in driving him away from your strategy by not teaching properly;] This is zombies after all.. we're not Tier 1 competitive in any format currently:rolleyes:..

Halted I don't know where you got this high and mighty, Zombies beat face thing. Listen I was saying I wasn't winning as much, not losing everything. I have played Magic since it bega, and ran SUI Black early in my Magic Playing career, It smashes and is lovely. Zombie SUI is like kid SUI compared to that, before you start acting like you aren't being a jerk with your Lennon crap (It was McCartney FYI), realize you are being rude, your advice is anything but advice. You really think all these sui creatures Zombies have with drawbacks are so awesome when, gatekeepers and BG are out there? My friend bury alives on turn 3 reliably and by turn 4 I'm lookin at 4 BG , and a Nocturnus and maybe a kicked Gatekeeper if he DR turn 1. Your view of the game is amazingly narrow in this section of the board, I have seen you comment elsewhere and it be insightful or at the very least positive. Against Knights when they have one CC removal and cheap creatures that First Strike and such you really think SUI Zombies should just stomp that, I don't think so. I win with it against them but its more like 40/60 when before it was closer to 60/40 the other way. The Angel Control is another one that is funny that you think shouldn't happen, when on turn 4 a Baneslayer can hit and just wreck face, oh I forgot these god SUI Zombies are suppossed to beat that. And your friend must have been some kind of a bad Magic player to lose every time with his Vampires to your SUI Zombies, give me a break. Before you criticize a player for inexperience why don't you make sure first. My meta is full of hevily powerful decks, ONE GUY PACKS CARDS LIKE A BLACK LOTUS. I'm glad I could get some friendly talk and advice for my ZOmbie deck Halted. From now on howe bout you just help the other " Rookies".

    @Halted: Agreed.

If it helps at all here is my current dragon deck

I take the chance of less spell removal and just taking the D and blocking wisely with Dragonlord to squeeze more dragons in and ones that deal D to creatures and such. I have invested a lot of money into this deck and it is a blast, even though it still can get raped sometimes.

I am a huge fan of Guul Draz Vampire, it could maybe work better than the Nighthawk, you trade a great card that defends and can kill big creatures, for a possible unblockable (most of the time) 3/2 that can end the game suddenly, IDK its preference both are awesome. Lacerator too if your going an aggro route, he is awesome, not as good late game as say Guul Draz Vampire is but still, awesome card.

I ended up going with Urza's Incubator over Dragonspeaker for obvious reasons. You already said your not so concerned with consistency so, thats obvious. CIPT lands really hurts Dragons, they are already slow and your compounding that with those lands, I know there duals, I know CIPT ones are way cheaper, but your slowing it down. There's not much you can do to make this better, your far too inconsistent, your too slow. I'd say thin your creatures and put more reliable dragons at 4 of 3 of etc, but you don't want that, so I recommend the Dual land issues be fixed, that would speed you up, maybe a chrome mox, dump Thran Dynamo it blows, replace it with chrome mox, lotus petal, Urza's Incubator, Gauntlet of Might while super expensive is such a fantastic card for Dragons. Also where in the heck is Rakdos Pit Dragon he is like my favorite dragon, he is so useful! I also think Kargan Dragonlord, while not a dragon is very useful in a dragon deck, he drops fast, and can become a force, plus he is flavorful enough to be a Dragon! Moltensteel Dragon is excellent as well as he can drop as early as you have 4 mana, albeit for a life cost but still! I think if you really want to make Dragons useable something I have been trying to do in my competitve enviroment you should take some of this advice and definitely thin the creatures.

Yeah when they see Skittles they are usually, like wat? This isn't an infect deck!!! Then they are dead, priceless, everytime.

I think its tough to speed up Dragons to a consistent powerful level, It takes money and expensive cards. I got a decent running deck with A lot of ramp and money invested in it, I love dragons thus my downfall. Its fun, and actually pretty good but anything with powerful and plentiful removal still ruins its day.

Meh, its alright, lacks a finisher. I have a skeleton deck that actually wrecks face pretty good. Goal is to clog the lanes with a bunch of Skeletons and swing for the win with Vampiric Skeleton or Skittles, man Skythirix is so boss. Lashwrithe is in it too adding more pressure.

Reassembling skeleton and Skittles are the MVP's of the deck, attrition is great and combined with reassembling skeleton almost unfair.
