I may not have been playing the game for long, but it seems like Wizard's push for white has gained a lot of attention lately, due to the apparent weakness of the color in the past.
I don't think wizards printed those new control cards (Jace 2, Wall of Omens, etc.) for this format necessarily, but rather for the upcoming format. If they gave to powerful of an answer to Aggro, than while yes this standard would be better, the next standard would be overruled with control cards.
I think wizards does its best to draw that fine line between broken cards and somewhat playable cards, but if they didn't print some broken cards for aggro or control every once in a while, than eternal format players would then complain just as much.
Wizards does its best to please everyone, but nobody's perfect.

Draw 3 cards. Search your library for all nonland cards with the same name as the cards which you drew with ~, and exile them.

Draw 3 cards. Tap a number a lands you control equal to the combine converted mana cost of cards you drew with ~. If you cannot, you lose the game.
Hey guys, I'm new to mtgsalvation, faeries, and relatively new to magic, but from reading this thread, I think I have a general idea of what to go for. If any of you could critique it, that would be great.
There are a couple of things that I have questions about, though:
1.) 3 or 4 Mistbind Clique?
2.) 3 or 4 Spell Snare?
3.) I have NO clue what the SB is supposed to look like, as I'm just getting into Extended (HATE Standard right now).
What are your opinions on this?

Target player discards target Tarmogoyf.
When you compare it to every other counterspell, it sucks.
Does nobody like Extended/Standard because they're so stagnant right now? (i.e. Jund in Standard, DDT in Extended)
Elfball likes this card.
jk, but seriously, I actually really like it. Combos well with new jace/brainstorm.
"You want to Smother my goyf? Lets see...how about you waste a card, and I'll draw 8 cards and gain 9 life for 6 mana."
...I'm sad now.
Edit: Also, this plus Omnath in ramp decks is just insane.
This is what I get for being a Johnny.
