    Oozatron
    Tribal Artifact Land - Ooze
T: Add C to your mana pool.
If you control an Ooze creature and an enchantment with the word "Ooze" in its name, Oozatron gains "t: add CCC to your mana pool."

posted a message on Intro Pack and Event Deck decklists
Are we sure those full art lands that the links show are actually what's in the decks?
The land links have historically not necessarily linked to the actual basic in a deck...
but since this is zendikar one would think they'd link it specifically.
    one would think.

posted a message on Magic mentioned in Epic Rap Battle of History
Today's season 4 release of ERB on youtube
    "Harry Houdini vs. David Copperfield"
mentions Our Fine Game (at the 1:12 mark).
It is a typically non-flattering reference, but a reference nonetheless!

posted a message on [[BaseSpec]] Gild is the interblock synergy seed with Khanar
I'm calling that Warlords Of Khanar block will be chockablock with hoarding Gold tokens, because the Gold Artifact token is such a radically unique mechanic, and one that was created for a "wild west" world exercise in the Great Designer Search 2.

It just seems like too big a mechanic to randomly stick on Gild without the intention to expand on it....

Anyone else hip to the jive?

posted a message on Wizards announces official magic film
We just need to keep our expectations bar verrryy low (mine sure is!).
I expect super schmaltz of course.
But I will def see every one, and enjoy it as a manifestation of my favorite game getting super popular. It's just a yummy sugar cherry on top.
Not an actual artistically valuable thing.
    Just frosting.

Ehzak we are on green Wink

Pulse Of The Golem's Lifeforce (2/G)(2/G)(2/G)
    Sorcery
    Affinity for green permanents.
Put a 3/3 Green Elemental Golem artifact token onto the battlefield.
If you control less than three green permanents, put Pulse Of the Golem's Lifeforce into your hand instead of the graveyard.

posted a message on Is DGM the completion of the Torment/Judgment meta meta cycle?
Of course it's far fetched, and ever-so unlikely due to the need for DGM to rep all ten guilds, but it is fascinating that, after the B-focused Torment and the WG-focused Judgment, we never got the U or R sets, and now:

The packaging for RtR is all blue Gatecrash is all red, and teaser roads point to Niv Mizzet (and thus Izzet) being the focus of GTC.

So while not likely to have unbalanced card colors in the set, it could still sort of be the completion of that mega cycle in terms of giving love to the colors....

    Anyone?

posted a message on Magic 20th Anniversary Celebration
In all seriousness, they should bite the bullet and revise the Reserve List.
There will be much vocal griping and moaning, but there is about anything they ever do anyways, and it too shall pass. They will need to lay out the strong logic for doing so:

    1. The new List will keep all the important Power and Dualies and other Important stuff safely tucked away for ever.

    2. The perfectly fair, should-have-never been on the List cards will GO UP in value by being reprinted, not down, and add much to the game by being dusted off and put back in action. Cards like Thunder Spirit, and a hundred others, would be fun to have in Standard and pimpin to have old versions of if they are in Standard.

    3. Frequent and thorough calm, assertive articles and PR campaign to explain why it was the wrong list before and that the new, better list is safe.

    4. Doing this would make for a really fun 20th year/M14 set that will appeal to those of us oldtimers in a new way by getting our hands on cards we haven't played with since the mid 90's.
