A lot of positives here. Now you will have to play in a PTQQ to qualify for the regional PTQ. Top 4/8 based on attendance from that tournament get invited to the PT.
Seems cheap that neither has new art. Both are reused from prior printings. Seems... very mediocre.
That seems to be the general sentiment. I guess finally having a foil Karador is nice for those who like EDH, but what are they trying to say about Entomb? Do they think Reanimator is the cure for Legacy's SnT problem?
Does anyone have any thoughts on how much the jace will sell for? I mean cause if I do get it, I definitely won't keep the jace, can't stand the card.
After the general hype of FTV calms down post-release, the cards settle down on or about the same price as the regular, non-foil version from whatever set the card was printed. You can find FTV Mox Diamonds for the same price as Stronghold Mox Diamonds, Maze of Iths etc etc.
I have one issue with this. Either it's fake, or WotC is going to alter the number of each booster given, possibly skewing higher towards whichever format tends to get redeemed more often(which is possible). I state this because I remember when I sanctioned these through WER for WPN materials, it said we would receive 100 promo boosters. Given they normally release things in equal numbers, I felt this meant that either it's 1 promo for all formats or a 4th promo for another format (android/ipad and steam splitting). I guess it could be a 40/30/30 due to android/ipad/steam all being the same. Who knows though.
And each box only has 24 packs. Yikes, that's not much especially if a store wants to do drafts.
The LGS I run magic at has already stated that the Friday MM releases, draft will be MM. And we also plan on running a sealed MM event. With our averages, that be 16 drafters and 12 sealed players, for 5 boxes. That's almost 1/3 of our product before selling to the public. That's kind of bad. I've had people openly expressing their desire to preorder multiple boxes if not a case. This is more restrictive than FTV releases.
Looks like that Azusa leaked earlier this year is finally seeing light. And now there will be more Mana Drains for everyone!

Polis Crusher 2RG
Creature - Cyclops (Rare)
Trample, Protection from Enchantments
4GR: Monstrosity 3. (If this creature isn't monstrous, put three +1/+1 counters on it and it becomes monstrous.)
Whenever Polis Crusher deals combat damage to a player, if Polis Crusher is monstrous, destroy target enchantment that player controls.
4/4

Official flyer from WPN site. They note 5 different packs. They say nothing about promos though.
Because of this you just paid for my plane ticket to Vegas! I'll just have to sell it to you in Miami...
On topic though - Thanks for chiming in Ben. I had noticed they'd been somewhat scarce lately. Gotta love them economics.
Looks like the triple promo method is over.
One of possibility is that mobile devices will get a different promo than others, and that there will be four.
If I were a betting man, I'd wager on the 1 promo method now though.
40 boxes from one place or multiple?

Further distribution from other vendors to be determined.
