Anybody else notice how much the art is ripped off of Platinum Imperion. It seems obvious that the artist just took the basics from the art and went a different route
I was playing my blue edh (i change the general often so i dont remember which one it was for these stories) and i had one game where i went, turn 1 ponder, turn 2 grim monolith, turn 3 power artifactstroke of genius for the game.
A different game where my opponent wa son the play using niv mizzet, he goes 1st lonely sandbar (it was a bad hand for him), me 1st turn island, he goes 2nd turn izzet boilerworks on my turn i play island and boomerang it, then the next two turns he repeats his 1st 2 turns, then on my 4th turn i cryptic command choosing to bounce his boilerworks and draw, i revealed a wasteland in my hand and he conceded
So the deck seems to do pretty well. Genesis Wave most definetly makes the deck. Some may say 4 Eldrazi Monument could be unnecessary, but Day of Judgment kills this deck, and in my opinion that card is becoming more used now that Scars is in. But please i would apreciate help with a Sideboard, I'm pretty sure Leyline of Vitality has its place.
Has anyone came up with any ideas for Kuldotha Phoenix with this deck? It seems like you can up the artifacts, run Trinket Mage with Memnite and then possibly Riddlesmith to replace merfolk looted
the only thing holding this back from RDW is the chieftan, why not cuz him for more aggro, as there are only 12 other goblin cards in the deck. I also do not like Reverbate i feel like the deck could use more creatures, and perhaps Infiltration lens to regain your hand after the first few turns, as it also is a 1 drop artifact for rebirth, and most likely will allow your creatures to be unblocked
both grindclock and masticore seem bad
grindclock doesnt mill fast enough at all
masticore costs u 4 mana, which is a turn for pheonix to recur, or to win with this deck
When I saw shape anew i had the same idea to run 1 everflowing chalice and 4 trinket mage, but with orb of insight knowledge, we knoe theres a card that will cost 12, so maybe that will make a better target for the deck.
This deck has too many combo peices to run enough control along its side. Also, i'm very confused on your match vs. valakut. when u mindslaver him you said you dealt 6 to him just by cracking terramorphic expanse, but theres no way we already had 5 mountains.
I think we've come a little off topic, this thread is for discussions on Lodestone Golem as more cards continue to be spoiled, not for what artifact hate should be ran.
i dont think levelers will really make it as a big decklist, when you hav multiple levelers in play then that requires sorcery speed mana, it just seems like an "All-in" type deck.
Between the time of WWK and ROE my friends and I were considering lodestone for RDW as a finisher, but then Kargan Dragonlord showed up and ruined that idea.

I know, it feels like you're doing a dance or something.
