Damage on stack, activate switch ability, and it survives.
Same theory as Myr Quadrapod.
...that's right! Sorry I read it the other way around (attack with white and then try to boost the attack by turning it into red). Like this it definately works.
Sorry...:embarrass:
I'm fairly sure this works: make a land a plains and a mountain. Enchant it with the red and white genju. Animate it as the red one and swing. Put damage on the stack, then switch it to the white one. Gain 6, deal 6, and it has a 5 point butt.
I don't think so...
Once damage goes on the stack the damage to be dealt is already determined. You can't just boost the creature either. Plus it doesn't remember the other creature and is suddenly a DEAD 6/1 creature that just dealt 2 damage (probably to a 3/3 that now survived)
:fingers:
Dude, what's up with wizards?
I mean why can't the white dude be a 2/2 for WW or something? Then at least I could actually do some damage...
The black one is cool in limited, but how long is it actually going to stick around? I mean it's a 1/1...
I haven't seen the blue one - ...still sucks.
Red one - now wouldn't I rather be playing that card I removed? And what expensive red cards are we talking about anyhow that could make this broken?
...could be great on the other hand in the right deck - I mean in Goblins T2 this could have pulled off some sick things...I think I DO want 4 of them anyhow!
That's a really good idea. I think ratings can always be tampered with one way or another, but if you are a regular on the site and and know a thing or two about trading online you can usually spot the flaky ones...
Hurray - finally a creature I can respect. Compared to all the crap we've seen so far this makes me smile. Besides the fact that nobody plays blue these days (especially not double costs) this card actually requires some thought and is never really dead. You can play it as a 3/4 unblockable - which last I heard is always a good thing. Being able to search for another Ninja seems quite cool as well - tutoring effects always deserve a second glance.
Now a Rebel it's not, but in Limited it's a bomb because you bring it out as soon as fourth turn (maybe even earlier) and if you are somewhat of a decent player get another card in the process - a Ninja at that. Plus a 3/4 unblockable is nothing to sneeze at either
Genju of the __?__ -
Enchant Swamp (U)
:2mana:: Enchanted Swamp becomes a 2/2 black Spirit creature with ":symb:: This creature gets +1/+1 until end of turn" until end of turn. It's still a land.
When enchanted Swamp is put into a graveyard, you may return Genju of the __?__ from your graveyard to your hand.
So if this gets killed I will lose a swamp but keep my Enchantment? And if my Enchantment gets killed I will get to keep the swamp. So either way I have card disadvantage. It also costs 3 each time for a 2/2 creature (2 and the swamp itself you cannot use anymore...) - this makes it a «darksteel brute» ... and we all know how many of those were being played in tournaments. Ok you can pump it - but shouldn't you be using mana on something else? Evasion...like fear, aah
*dreams of ...
Genju of Phraseland -
Enchant Swamp (U)
:2mana:: Enchanted Swamp becomes a 2/2 black Spirit creature with":symb:: This creature gains fear and gets +1/+1 until end of turn" until end of turn. It's still a land.
When enchanted Swamp is put into a graveyard, you may return Genju of Phraseland and target Swamp from your graveyard to your hand.
...hey, we all can dream right? I know it's broken - so what...? :spirit2: *
...so far I do love the art of Betrayers though...
I mean the ability of the rat offering dude...I just don't know. First it's a big creature that doesn't have evasion. So it doesn't work as a finisher. What else would you play an expensive dude like this for?
The same goes for the other guy. So snakes, huh? I mean - maybe some Extended Deck with Mystic Snake? But, doh!, it's only Forests!
Also, what would I need the untap green creatures for? Only to get MORE mana?! (I already NEED a lot of mana to pull this off, so getting more seems kinda pointless) On the other hand it's a 7/7 w/o evasion and it cost you a creature (a snake to add to that - and we got how many broken snakes?).
...and how is Tooth and Nail going to profit from that? I mean the only good thing going for it is that it's playable as an instant - but it's a creature! What Tap-Ability of a current green creature is soo broken? What am I not getting here? I am sorry, but this is truly the «flavor over power» block and though I respect and enjoy the flavor it's starting to get on my nerves that I actually spent money for constructed in this block...someone please help! Let me find my Type 2 Deck that is new and inventive - and can actually stand a chance against the usual suspects
Yeah - but it's really just another one of those «win more» situations. Any combo with creatures is always a big risk...
I am not saying though that I won't try to make a nice deck around it either...
any kill spell is doubled? Sign me up!

*drools* Must go out and get a set...
Now let us find a deck for it...
...dont!

...what a stupid, stupid flavor text.
Anyhow the card itself is weak becaaaauuuse:
Reanimator means bringing ridiculous creatures into play for as close to nothing as possible...
*Holds Stir the grave in hand and has Akroma, in graveyard...gives up*
*drools while ideas float in...*
...I say, yeah!
