Meekstone is a house, pithing needle can stop whole decks, faiths fetters hoses generals, hollowed burial is a beating.
Also while not really sb tech, ward of bones shuts things down in a hurry when you drop a couple mana artifacts in the first turns...just thought id share since there is mox to be had
also...
I dislike the common attitude which the "elitist" seem to have. There is a difference between casual and competitive/sport. If you personally get your jolleys off beating up a budget build what does that really say to you as a person. I get annoyed when people who cannot "go pro" feel as if they need to punish the lower players and that it's "ok" because they could spend the money on cards if it really bothered them.
My pet peeve is when people try to put a definition to casual, casual is many different things to many different players. My bigger pet peeve is when people try to use casual to prove a point or win an argument because basing an argument off something subjective is bound to fail.
My other pet peeve is people who are just dicks, they are just bad for the game, and i tend to find people then come to associate being a dick with being competitive and then their pet peeve become people who are competetive.
OK so for now im trying out cutting mimic vat, open the vaults, sorin, and planar portal for thopter foundry, sword of the meek, time sieve, and thopter assembly...any thoughts, im pretty sad about loosing portal but it may be worth it...
these are all the combos id want to fit into sharuum...it may be a lot but many of the pieces are great on their own or have other synergies with the deck/other combos. Pick and choose any you want and your deck will be substantially more powerful. Also i think all of the cards fall into you budget except grim monolith and power artifact, and i would say all the cards are a great investment for the deck.
If you want to take a look at my list its a pretty solid combo build, ive got a thread for it.
Your list atm seems more like a control deck, which is fine if thats what you want to go for, ubw is prolly the best color set for control...but you gotta ask yourself what you want the deck to do, when you figure that out i can help more.
Updated the list in the 1st post, any comments are welcome.
Also trying to fit one fatty back in, either sphinx of the steel wind or inkwell leviathan, i need opinions on if i should, which 1 to use, and what to cut.
Im also considering adding time sieve and thopter assembly...seems really good. If i add that i may also add thopter foundry and sword of the meek. That way i have the full thopter sword combo, AND thopter foundry also gives me a sacrifice outlet for spine of ish sha. I originally did not like the thopter sword combo but now i may have enough incentive to add it...i would really appreciate input on this.
I think that if green had access to a couple more good infinite combos, or a combo general itd beat out black for second place and give blue a run for its money. The best decks that use blue are typically azami, erayo, sharuum ect...they are combo decks, green just needs one or two combos on par with whats found in these decks.
Also worth noting imo is that green got to keep cradle where as academy got hosed
