I do wish he would post it. Its win condition is Tooth and Nail. He has a much greater focus on ramp, draw, and control than Die's version, with very few reanimation targets. The nonmana creatures are Mike and Trike, Eternal Witness, Gilded Drake, Glen Elendra, C Sphinx, Notion Thief, Snapcaster Mage, and Kederekt Leviathan. The other notable difference is draw: Timetwister, Windfall, Dark Deal, Mystic Remora, Sylvan, Rhystic, Necro, Top, Scroll Rack. Early card advantage is often how he pulls far enough ahead to win.
That looks a lot like the typical Damia list. I get that Damia is super expensive, but if he is actually casting Tooth and Nail maybe he could cast her too?
Mimeo is often never cast and is usually just a figurehead
That's the same conclusion we arrived at here, even though we are actually a reanimator deck. If Mimeo is dead most of the time, using a castable commander that acts as a halfway decent way to control the table and is a wincon in the command zone seems like an improvement.
Emrakul is too expensive and low impact for us, in my opinion.
Sanitarium coul be interesting. Desolate Lighthouse is decent, not sure if letting other people sculpt as well would be acceptable though.
It also can be used in Chron loops to find a specific card/kill someone if you can't use Tas for some reason.
He really miss Primeval and Primordial, could somehow Splendid Reclamation fill the void? Between fetchs and lands looted we could ramp considerably?
I would like to see your friend's Plasm list/have it described a little. I find your meta interesting.
The problem is that he is actually harder to cast than Tasigur. Usually more mana and more colors. And he actually pulls the deck in the direction of playing more reanimation targets.
Thanks.
Obviously he disregards all the positives of the deck because he is in the business of selling decklists. No one is going to buy from him list for a commander who has so much info available, 5 color reanimator on the other hand is not that developed so someone might want to buy what he has to offer.
I actually haven't really thought about them in the context of this deck, and the most efficient ones I know use cards we don't normally run like LED.
I considered also Victimize piles as well, draw and dump a 2 card combo (Jin-Lab/Chron-Deadeye), Victimize Tasigur for the win.
There's also a draw 2, Crypt, Frantic Search, Lab Man, Cantrip. Draw into Crypt and Search, play Search to draw and cast Lab Man, cast cantrip, win.
Yeah, I was misremembering the pile, it actually uses Thought Scour which it's not that good on its own.
I actually removed the cycle land+Loam land package from my deck, but you have Bazaar so it's probably not the way to go for you.
Another thing I would love to play here is Season's Past for durdling purposes but I know I can't justify it.
Doomsday can even assemble Chron-Deadeye with Victimize and Search in the pile. I feel it has some potential.
Also when I got the idea some time ago I proxied a couple cards and managed to Victimize Jin+Lab Man, which was sweet.
Is Bring to Light not worth it anymore? I did not get around to test it yet.
Glad Necro is working for you. Have you managed to kill the table with ducks yet?
Scroll has the merit of tutoring Intuition for the win under Necropotence.
I've wondered about Lab Maniac, Tainted Pact and Doomsday packages in this deck myself and think it deserves testing.
Ya, I hate to be a broken record but what you have here is way more unique than tas in the sense reanimators will end up with the same 50ish cards no matter what they do, where as this is totally out there. Like I was prob always 7-10 cards diff from your Reanimator since the day I posted so I never thought of it as someone else's list, just that I had found a bunch of like minds to help sculpt a deck.
I feel the same way, and think it's funny how most of the regulars on the reanimator thread proceeded to tune some new non-blue deck.
I like Earthcraft even with the dorks, as it gives them pseudo haste, but maybe you haven't the space for basics in your list.

Doomsday opens up two lines, Doomsday itself and Pact. It could be really cool.
