I'm about to make the purchases for my multiplayer cube. The goal of this cube is to be budget (cards under $2.00 with some exceptions) and to facilitate games of 3-6 players. The power level is deliberately on the lower side and also to showcase cards that wouldn't see play in regular decks or cubes. I also have a political subtheme involving the entire group making choices, such as through Will of the Council, Thieves' Auction, Curse of the Cabal etc. It's definitely intended to encourage winning through politicking over regular skill level.
Also if you could take the time to draft it, I would really appreciate it.
I'm thinking of putting together a mini cube to teach people the basics of cubing, drafting, and Magic as a whole. To make things simple, I'm planning on only including commons/uncommons from Magic 2010 - Magic 2015. But I have some questions.
1. What size should the cube be? 180 or 270? I'm not planning on drafting with a ton of people, and a lot of times, I feel like I'll only be drafting with two.
2. What mechanics should I make sure are represented?
3. Is it a good idea to put in bad cards (like Lucky Charms) to teach people how to evaluate cards better?
4. What are some must-include cards?
I'm planning on buying a cube soon, but the problem is I don't have a playgroup. I do know some people who play, but we're not close, and I'm not sure how much they would like to go out of their way to play. Is there any other way of meeting people who like to play? I recently moved so I haven't been able to check out my LGS yet.
Do you guys think that 30 dual lands and 10 signets in a 360 card cube is a little excessive? I'm thinking of cutting 10 of the dual lands out, but I'm afraid of not having enough fixing. What do you guys think?
I really like the idea of the card, but I think it could use a couple of tweaks in regard to its p/t and its mana cost. But it definitely is an interesting card.
I think the Gateless were a wasted opportunity. And even worse I was confused why there were Guildless angels, but if WoTC weren't going to expand on the Gateless at all, they could've made those angels Archons instead.
I am also pretty disappointed with the set. This one seems to have even fewer desirable cards than Gatecrash did. I'm glad that it does help fight against power creep, but I'm disappointed in not being excited in anything during spoiler season. In general, everything seems overcosted to me, including the split cards.
Also, I'm disappointed in nothing being said about the Gateless, even though that was supposed to be a huge thing in the first two blocks. I'm actually tired of WoTC taking themes from the first two blocks and abruptly not mentioning them in the third.
I think power creep is like a drug. It seems fun at first but then you are dependent on it later.
I would rather prefer having a couple of standards with balanced and interesting "trash", rather than having incredibly overpowered decks that accelerate power creep even further.
You can redeem the Kaladesh packs for physical cards if you pay the fee.

I'm also looking for fun cards that involve the whole table but aren't particularly strong. I'm thinking cards like:
1. What are some good, fun multiplayer cards for under $2.00 or so? I'm thinking stuff like the Offerings, Magister of Worth, etc.
2. How do you know when you've had a good balance between cheap efficient cards and big ones? I don't want too many Condemns in my cube.
Here's a link to my cube if anyone wants to look:

I'm glad to see that they were attentive about it.
I guess they didn't decide on where Nessia was until now.

How dare they have a monopoly on a product they make.
Yes, thanks.
