:3mana::symb: Enchantment Creature — Hag Whenever an opponent draws a card, Fate Unraveler deals 1 damage to that player.
Might be OK here as well. It is 3/4 so at least able to dodge some bolt removal if anyone plays that.
Just noticed that Fate Unraveler was already mentioned. My bad. I am running similar stuff to being mentioned here and a card I really became fond of is Chains of Mephistopheles. It is especially great when you have another replacement effect for draws like Words of Wind or Tomorrow, Azami's Familiar out to bypass the effect for you
Um, no, it didn't. And, as we have said many times, MTGO barely figures into our considerations. It's a format designed to be played socially, which is hard to do anonymously online.
Did you know that there are ppl playing multiplayer commander on MTGO while using Voicechat to talk. Sometimes even ppl knowing each other...obviously it is hard to penetrate into such a group, but they do exist.
The new Legend rule is pretty dumb. I can have 4 Ulamogs, the Infinite Gyre in a 4-player game.
The RC assumes that everyone is a responsible adult who makes the right decisions. That's why the right decision is to pair Deadeye Navigator and Sylvan Primordial and activating it multiple times in a turn, every active turn.
Please ban those 2 cards.
So I am just assuming this is irony right? There are so many 2 card combos some of which are even more difficult to disrupt or less expensive. So why ban exactly these two? Examples could be Triskelion,+Mikaeus, the Unhallowed, Time Sieve+Thopter Assembly, Kiki or Splinter Twin+ one of the untap creatures or intruder alarm etc etc. some of which are easier to assemble and don't even need mana once in play.
The fact of the matter is if you are playing mono-red your only possible one drops AFTER rotation are the following:
Legion Loyalist
Rakdos Cackler
Satyr
Now no true mono-red aggro deck worth its salt will only run 4x Cackler and call it a day. They will likely look to this card before they go to Legion Loyalist in my opinion.
@ Rules Changes
Back in the day the only time you were forced to only assign one damage was in the case of trample when blocking. There was never a time when if you block my 10/10 vanilla creature with your jackal pup that you only take one damage.
So assuming you mill your entire library with Balustrade Spy, you will have to kill the oppponent right there, as Dredge won't work if you don't have enough cards in you library.
I am assuming this is done using Flayer of the Hatebound to some degree. Could you explain the steps you are doing to go for the kill at that point?
Earlier this game in a draft I attacked with Balustrade Spy and a 9/9 consuming Aberration. He blocked the Spy with his Skyknight Legionnaire and let the Aberration through (why he did not chump was beyond me since he was at 16). He played the Boros +3 / -3 to give his Legionnaire +3/+3 after that resolved I grisly spectacled it which in the end turned my Aberration a 21/21 killing him on the spot.
I had it in a Dimir draft today and it was sweet. Triggered the Sage Row Denizen's Perfectly Oddly enough I was more aggressive than the gruul and Boros decks I met so it was not relegated to chump block duty but rather smashed in.
It's almost hilarious how high the emotions are cooking for such a small bowl of soup. Although it may be true that the DCI is idiocratic (clearly shown by the unrestriction and then restriction of gush...who would've expected people playing gush again...). But then again who plays vintage.....only a small group of people in a large pond of water who are now crying because old archetypes are broken and new ones have to emerge most possible with the DCI unrestricting one of those items again.
Please read your epic post again in 1 year and remember that you wrote it because of a change on the banned/restricted list for Vintage Magic and not some worldwide economic breakdown.....
lol, so you're all basically whining because there are changes and some other decks will be played in vintage.....or maybe because your preciously built expensive deck is now obsolete?!?
how come No one has mentioned mistmeadow Skulk? This guy is nuts in this format, such good defence until the W or U flying mans can come on line.
he really is good but there is also a serious number of evasion and/or trample effects around rendering him not always effective, for example my B/U deck contained only 4 out of 17 creatures which had cc 3+ and no evasion.
I'll be going to a Shadowmoor draft in 2 hours and will probably reflect on this later
Theoretically I'd go for Oona and Incremental Blight in the Rare/Uncommon Spot. Firespout is also good, but Blight has 2 distinct advantages: 1.: Also good when your ahead (i.e. probably won't kill your creatures) 2. has excellent Synergy with Kulrath Knight and Blowfly Infestation (which is killer in a B/R deck which hands out lots of -1/-1).
So we did two 10-player drafts. I went 6th in the first with a Black/Red Deck. Playing the B/R and B/U Liege plus some removal. Corrupt was great every time for me as was the black guy which can force a discard at instant speed.
Second one I went 2nd with a Black/Blue deck with loooots of evasion. Lost to an insane W/U deck. Basically the only on drafting white. Had mana-screw both games, but I don't think I could've won this one anyhow.
Luckily I was hit with Blight only once but that cleared my board except for one lonely 2/2 scarecrow. Most of the Crows are really nice. Especially the one for 3 cc and the 4cc 2/4 W/U aligned one.
Most of the Aura's were played and the G/R one has quite the potential for damage I can tell you but in effectiveness Steel of the godhead was best.

What about Foundry Street Denizen?
lol that is really tough to beat in limited
