Correct, you can claim professional gambling as a career. Not exactly sure of the numbers but up to $50,000 a year can be written off as "losses" but you have some STEEP requirements. Like losing MUCH more than that.

Things may be dated but the info is out there to find easily enough I believe. Calling a local accounting office for advice however is probably a small charge.
My BoK Prerelase info isn't yet listed and I did pretty well, would've went 4-0 but last match ended being draw so I gave the match to him to help him get product. Don't think it was delay of game but we both drafted some nice control decks (me B/G with one each of Rends, two Horobi's Whisper and a Hideous Laughter I believe. Got a Jugan and one Black Genju and two Green Genjus. He got two Eradicate, including a foil, playing U/B control).
Anyone else or did I miss something about that?
I rarely draft either. I just got back into magic right when Torment came out but didn't do Type II tourney scene seriously until about Scourge end. We are concentrating on the FNM's now to increase our ratings.
Pretty much anything Red stole from Black. I'd let Blue have Force Spike even though I've always hated simple Blue control. White should get Catastrophe. Green can have Ravenous Baloth. It's hard to think of what Green needs to have fun. Gurantee Plow Under gets reprinted even though I absolutely LOATHE that card? It's still very Green, even though it's WAY good.
Finally, either Tainted Aether or Lethal Vapors but not both. That would have been an awesome vote for selecting 9th.
You don't have any evidence for this. MaRo has stated in the past that they always print the Invitational cards with the intention of making them tournament playable.
Except Black RARELY gets a card that is just really good with no drawback. Kokusho and Cranial Extraction are two recent exceptions but otherwise, R&D thinks it's very "flavorful" for Black to never have something without a drawback.
Again, Red steals pie from black AND gets another enchantment hate card?
What's the deal with this? There is NO reason now to not reprint freaking Innocent Blood, either in CHK block or 9th.
Or finally give black some way to deal with Enchantments other than Oblivion Stone or Distress. I guess this is where I thank all those people for voting Blackmail over Addle.
Red wins again. Why do they get enchantment hate and black is left on the sidelines AGAIN?
Well, at least they didn't steal rituals, pinging, and creature theft.
Seriously, whenever they decided to nerf blue their answer was to beef up red? Come again? Black loses Forsaken Wastes and Red gets Sulfuric Vortex? Sheesh.
Well, at least they didn't steal the Planar Void ability.

My two cents.
