Zzzz... You're really into this topic too much. And constantly whining about every card, every deck. Am I the only one being bored by your constant flow of reactions ?
The Pioneer forum is dead in terms of deckbuilding, the only thing I see when I come check out over here is you complaining. This is a sad statement.

Wizards pushing sales of product with lands is getting bad. It used to be once every few years, now it's multiple times a year. Enough already.
You mean when they put them in unsets?
I think he mean "on any product" cause full art lands were a big factor on the huge sales from Unglued, Unhinged, Zendikar(original) and Worldwake, Battle for Zendikar and Oath, etc (from a casual stand point(people that buy 10 boosters each set, more or less)) Now, since Battle for zendikar we had them in Amonkhet and hour, Unstable, the judge ones and other promos, Snow fullart, Nyx fullart. Maybe he is in a fatigue for fullart lands.
Fullart lands are always welcome but ye they are really pushing theirs sales with fullart lands now (Theros collector's boosters and normal boosters, this, etc )
Also, just for people to be aware: Every pack with the 5 30 cards decks comes with 5 fullart foil (1 for each basic land) and 5 non foil fullart (1 for each type) the lands inside the decks looks to be normal lands.
For a normal set sure but who thought they wouldn't do full art lands for this? Unsets are where the idea first came from.
The only legal cards (in sanctioned formats) are the lands (and one of the whys casuals bought it in the first place). As a casual it is the seccond product with fullart lands he is getting this year. (assuming he is a casual)
Un sets are fun and all, but it's a pet project for Wizards that gets people to buy in with fancy lands. When you have a just released set with fancy lands and now this back to back, it's too much.
Just like everything else Wizards did in the last year and continues to do... People thought the lottery cards were bad. That was mild compared to all of this other stuff. -

boombox_smk posted a message on Pioneer Banned List SpeculationHeliod, Sun-Crowned + Walking Ballista has not seemed great in the matches I've played against it with various decks. If you have no interaction in the first few turns, that's on you, but let's say you drop Heliod on turn 3, it does literally nothing. Then you drop a 2/2 Ballista on turn 4, you need 1W more mana to activate the lifelink. That's turn 5. I mean what have you been doing the whole games so far? Even if you drop a 1 or 2 drop to be able to give Ballista lifelink on turn 4, that means you've needed 3 specific cards to pull of the combo. If anything, I think the London mulligan should be banned in this situation, lol. With any amount of disruption this combo falls apart. I don't think its all that great. I've played a number of matches against it and had success with all of them only losing 3 games out around 20 played with/without sideboard. Obviously discard is great against it Thoughtseize, Atarka's Command has a mode to combat it, I been playing a singleton Erebos, God of the Dead in my sideboards which stops it. In red, Skullcrack, Rampaging Ferocidon, and Tibalt, Rakish Instigator all stop it, as well. Pithing Needle/Sorcerous Spyglass both stop Walking Ballista, as does Karn, the Great Creator. In my White-based decks, a copy of Deicide is often enough, as you can exile all of their Heliod's for 1W at instant speed. Erase even stops it for 1 mana. Obviously in blue you have counter magic.Posted in: Pioneer
As you can tell by reading any of my posts in these types of threads, I am all for solving problematic interactions through intelligent side boarding, better deck building, and allowing the meta to keep itself in check, whenever possible. There are numerous answer across an array of colors, many even main-deckable. My take: the combo is fine, prepare for it. It's inconsistent and slow enough that the meta will most likely keep it under wraps, and you might lose to it every few tournaments because you didn't sideboard it, but that's how decks like Bogles win in Modern, you forgot they existed and get a random loss. Such is life. -

Elsewise, in Hellenic, Promethean and Egyptian-Greco mythology goats where a common offering to the Gods to show devotion when asking for boons/favours, often due to them producing furs, milk and meat, making them a prized asset for poorer families of the time.
Sheep is also sometimes how followers of a cause are referred to and similar insults were common in those times. Similarly, many religions referred to their leaders and advocates as their 'flocks' or 'herds' and themselves as 'shepherds' and 'farmers', which may indicate that this person once was a leader who did awful things, who in death has been consumed by their hatred.
Either or works, definitely more flavour than the original seer either way -

So far I’m saving my money for either a Pioneer Masters set or a Pioneer Horizons set.
For me it’s the year of commander (Ikoria decks, zendikar decks, Green commander cards (from the vault), commander legends and decks.) -

Dinousaurs are probably impossible at this point, so just something with haste and some harsh punishment for control players...:D

$220 seems ok. The Mythics and rares will carry you about $120-$160+, you'd think. Foils get you an extra $20-$50, and the commons are meh. The uncommons might clean up. The issue is if the dude scanned the packs, it's yikes. If the seller is trusted as you say, roll the dice? I'm personally just going to do a few drafts and maybe grab stuff at Target. Just wait for Saffron Olive to do his breakdown, but he's basically stated that you're getting fine EV at $240+ already, even with the rest of the rares being bulk.

I doubt this will be a draft format. There might be a dredge sub-theme which makes these cards gas up. They are both up there in power level, which makes them "Ultimate" level, I guess.

So vehicles that are boats, and this set will be a huge disappointment without incarnations of Odin, Freyja, Loki, Asgard, etc. etc.
And some kind of tribal theme to top it off.

Edin Magic Festival has trademarked their event as Magic Fest, and are now in touch with Hasbro apparently.
Overall, these changes don't affect me except that I can win a PT invite as a regular event and then trade it for cash and so on.

(Think Boros will end up being good in Limmited too, looks like UB Surveil, Boros Mentor and some form of Selesnya token shenanigans.)

This. It's not a glaive at all, and I can't believe a bunch of dudes that play D&D like Trick or others never pointed this out.
Card is nuts though, going to end some lives in Limited, geez.
