so cards are being cut out and yet it is still more expansive ?
people are taking the bait here cause of the extra chances for rares / mythics ? it is sill a way to sell cardboard for a higher price. (i mean it would be higher by just cutting cards, but they still had to increase the price... tse, i believe some day i stop playn magic not because the game sucks, but the wizards, by trying to fool everyone)
and who needs art cards ? thats like less worth than a common, since u cant play it. u wanna make a booster for people who dont draft by adding a useless card ??? what logic is that ?

She’s supposed to be Indiana Jones, not Dick Tracy.
I feel the art direction is wrong on Tamiyo. Tamiyo is wearing a trench coat, which is common in detective settings. If this was supposed to be Indiana Jones, she should not be wearing a trench coat. -

While this is true it's not like the virus is likely to completely disappear at all. Making reexposure more a question of how severe rather than when. Even after the pandemic is over it won't mean the virus is gone it will just mean a large enough number of people have enough immunity that it isn't spreading like wildfire. After that phase, it will continue to do rounds around the global population continuing to affect groups that still haven't developed immunity and groups who are immune-compromised. The thing to be wary of at that point is a mutation that makes it ignore previous immunity or resistance to then developed treatments.Quote from OblivionedOne »a second wave that is totally due to speculation. There is 0 evidence for all of it. I bet it'll be because people go back into public. It's not gonna magically reproduce itself without host to transmit it to others. We'd have dealt with this a month ago if people would have stopped going to their local LGS and everywhere else acting like it wasn't real... US has already proven they don't listen and damaged itself massively.
EDIT
I'm also not speaking out of ignorance, I understand viruses. Just saying the only way a second wave happens is because people reexpose themselves.
The speculation that a second wave is based on is the assumption that people will continue to be people. Acting with a combination of ignorance, defiance of authority, and complete disregard for other's well-being. So while calling it speculation is correct it implies a level of uncertainty that isn't actually present. So while it isn't as certain as the sun rising the next day it is as certain as a large company acting in the interest of profit rather than consumer well-being. -

Nope, I completely forgot about it because there are too many products coming out lately. -

Jiyor posted a message on Commander ban list and rules updatePosted in: The Rumor MillQuote from user_938036 »How does cleaning up the rules by removing a generally unnecessary rule make any kind of argument for treating hybrid differently? It’s a much better case for leaving things alone and thus consistent as opposed to creating exceptions.
Because the rule was their based on flavor and then removed later because mechanically it didn’t make sense.
Hybrid mechanically is something either color could do. Even arguing that it flavorfully doesn’t make sense is wrong because a mono-colored Commander wouldn’t need to understand the other color because the concept is something they understand in their color. -

We're making the current major global pandemic a PC thing now, are we?
Fair enough WotC wanted to play it safe. This is such a minor thing. -

Yessssss!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@Watchwolf, our CMDR group has a Locus God deck, a Lazav Mill deck, my jank Jasmine Boreal deck and whatever else other people have. It's not beyond belief this could take over a game and win at some point.
Of course this will never succeed in a cEDH environment, but it's fine in a kitchen table setting.

Maybe a little re-focus is needed now? Tighten things up and offer daily content with deck list suggestions, etc.

Edit: I definetely will want a copy of this for my Nissa Duel Commander...pitch an Eldrazi, get a critter, reshuffle my grave. Yeah, that won't get dumb at all.

Bounce my Lyra and Wrath? Sounds good!

Mostly it will break my miiiiiiiiiiiiiiind when I see these show up on Arena. Biggest timesink since Zuran Orb, ugh.

On Arena I don't have to travel over an hour to get to a LGS and sit on a hard chair.
On Arena I don't have to concede to someone because I don't like them and don't want to spend 50 minutes staring at their face, pretending to be sportsmanlike.
On Arena I can drop a bunch of $ and get full decks with tons of Mythics.
On Arena there is no toxicity because you can't chat or anything, if they spam Emotes you can mute them.
On Arena I get stuff for free every day, and I can save the Gold to get more stuff later. Right now I have 30,000 gold saved, so by the time M20 comes out in July or whenever, or War of the Spark in April, I'll be able to get 30+ packs and have a new deck build immediately.
On Arena I don't need sleeves or dice, or a judge.
On Arena I can get a game any time I want...yes you can do this with Cockatrice or whatever, but I never liked those clients.
Arena is beastly. Once they add cosmetic or Season rewards (Avatars for finishing at Mythic, Gold, Platinium, Diamond, Siver, Bronze...) the game will be unstoppable.
Heck, I sold all my paper junk except for a Commander deck or two because I just don't want to play with people unless one of my best friends that I like is there, and he's there only once in a while because he lives two hours away (or less) in MTL.

With the new duplicate protection program, I am finally finishing my sets of shocklands, Arclight Phoenixes and taking the hit by getting copies of Citywide Bust and other chaffy rares as well. It's worth it in the end, since I'll be ready when Arena Eternal arrives next fall. In the meantime, I have a ton of decks to play with too, and a modest amount of wildcards (5 Mythic, 0 Rare (I use these constantly...), 50 Uncommon and 4 Common). I've managed to build mono-red, green Stompy, various Boros builds and I think a Mardu and Thousand Year Storm and Izzet Drakes. That's from playing two or three months.
Try to build my Golgari deck in real life here in Ottawa? YEah $45 CDN for a Carnage Tyrant...pass. I love that I get to play Standard and goofy formats whenever I want. It's a lot of fun and I'm learning about Standard along the way!
