Do any of you people actually realize what you're saying before you imply that WotC killed your mother and spit on her corpse just for printing Squire in the bonus slot? If every bonus card was good then it would severely upset Limited and shoot the power level through the roof. A decent amount of the time in this format you're effectively going to be opening two rares in each booster pack. In draft it's not quite so unbalancing because you can only take one either way, but in sealed it's going to seriously affect power level.
Yes, there will be the packs you open where you have Squire and Moonlace, but there will also be packs where you open Akroma and Magus of the Disk. If every pack was like that, sealed would be absolutely insane. In order to maintain order and keep the power level at least manageable, they have to make sure that the power spread of the bonus cards roughly equals the power spread of a normal set for limited. This means that in order to avoid power level inflation, they have to put narrow or just plain bad cards in the bonus slot.
I guarantee you there will be absolutely no way that they would print a Time Walk effect with a buyback of sacrificing any number of lands, even if it's half your land. Vintage would go absolutely nuts if that happened, as a crucible and artifact mana can easily maintain casting time walk every turn. The buyback cost would have to be something that would not be easily managed in type 1, the format most likely to abuse a new time walk.
So you think turning a 1/1 token creature into a Llanowar Elf is a bad thing? If you think it's better to attack with a vanilla 1/1 this turn and delay your 5/5 trampler by another turn, then you surely don't understand the philosophy of acceleration.
I bet you're the type of person who plays a turn 1 Llanowar Elf and then attacks with it on turn 2 rather than playing your Rootwalla.
When I tried to think of names which fit both the mechanic and the picture, all I could think of were existing card names like Otherworldly Journey, Mesmeric Trance, Journey of Discovery, etc. Then it finally hit me:
I just had a thought. At least in limited, the value of cards like Moonring Mirror and Journeyer's Kite might go up a bit if Wisdom cards turn out to be worth playing, as they're both artifact sources which can increase hand size. Moonring mirror does it slowly, but it does provide card advantage and also lets you save up a large hand under the mirror to swap in case you draw a Wisdom spell.
Without getting another look at the card, I'd say this is probably a more accurate version of the text, based on Soramaro and the observations about my jottings. Hopefully this also brings the card in line with the Orb numbers.
Kiyomaro, First to Stand's power and toughness are each equal to the number of cards in your hand.
As long as you have four or more cards in your hand, Kiyomaro has vigilance.
Whenever Kiyomaro deals damage, if you have seven or more cards in your hand, you gain 7 life.
No, it's not. This is a normal static ability. Personally I would expect it to be worded "As long as ..." (compare Auriok Glaivemaster for example), but I wouldn't outright dismiss the wording above.
it may very well be "As long as...", in fact that sounds more realistic to me. The first and second paragraphs, I know the wording isn't exact. I'm 99% sure I got the third paragraph word for word, however. It does trigger on any damage, not just combat damage.
Anyhow, sorry I didn't get a scan, but it makes for interesting debates as to the card's credibility
Edit: On a related note - I just thought about this, with Wisdom being the mechanic I REALLY hope we get some good card-drawing in every color. I've always thought that the way to solve the color wheel issue was just to share card drawing (adapted to each color, but still). Would be cool to not necessarily have to play traditional UW to use this card.
I believe that in lieu of balanced cross-pie card drawing, we're getting Sweep... and just to keep blue ahead, blue gets Soritami as well.
Tonight I got a peek at Kiyomaro, which will be the Saviors prerelease card. I quickly jotted down the card details, but since the card was in the posession of a dealer I couldn't get a scan. Feel free to not believe me, but know I'm right come prerelease day
Looks like the -maro cycle are all */* = cards in hand, with various abilities that either help contribute to or rely on hand size.
Kiyomaro, First to Stand :3mana::symw::symw:

If you have four or more cards in your hand, Kiyomaro has Vigilance.
Whenever Kiyomaro deals damage, if you have seven or more cards in your hand, you gain 7 life.
Usually permanent p/t changes will use +/- counters for clear presentation.
Usually uncommon wouldn't be that powerful... but God know why rancor is a common?
:cough:
Offical errata would be announced on FAQ, as they did to paralex wave.
What a careless mistake overlooked.
Wizards no longer creates new cards which put any power/toughness modifying counters on creatures except +1/+1 counters. No more -2/-1 contagion counters, no more -1/-1 Unstable Mutation counters. Therefore, they wouldn't make a new card with -1/-0 counters.
The way I see it there are two possible scenarios:
1. The templating team missed the reminder text "(this effect doesn't end at end of turn)" which they usually put on effects like that
2. The templating team missed the text "until end of turn" which sounds less likely to me since that's rules text and not reminder text.
Freed from the Real seems like it has some good potential in limited, especially in U/W or U/R. Untap my frostwielder 5 times? Sure. Untap my Kabuto moth 5 times? Sure.
Mmm... :symu::symu::symu::symu::symu::Target creature gets +5/+10 until end of turn.

I have fixed the typos in the previous version. This file has all the images.

The dealer, who is hosting a prerelease, got the cards today (Wednesday). So I guess your answer is 10 days early

Uhm, it did. Channeling is just Onslaught block cycling withut the draw. It's as if every cycler has a built-in stifle now.
