Your deck looks similar to mine too. Have you tried running Cruel Revival? It's removal and recursion at the same time! Sure it has a cmc of 5, but that's easy in EDH. Also, why not also use Liliana of the Dark Realms as mana fix? Keep up the good work.
wishforfishes, I saw your token deck, and I liked it a lot. One card I run in my Rubinia deck is Stormfront Riders. It bounces, and it makes 2 soldiers. It's a highly underrated card and it works really well in my deck. You can steal a dude and bounce it, or just bounce one of your ETB dudes to play it again.
So one of my first EDH decks was Rith, the Awakener having just modified my 60 card saproling deck into an EDH deck. I had been impressed by the card Glare of Subdual and I wanted to make a token deck utilizing it. Looking around I found Opposition in blue. This would put me in Bant colors. My best friend played Merieke Ri Berit as a general, and I thought that Rubinia might work for my purposes. As I played the deck more and more and tinkered with it, I found myself building more around Rubinia herself. Here is the finished product. Any comments or suggestions are welcomed.
I'm seeing some really cool decks here. As far as mana elves go, I agree that Joraga Treespeaker is the way to go. Here's the list I'm throwing around. Let me know what you guys think.
A couple of things. Firstly, I've seen plenty of dedicated ramp decks win the day. What with Dreamstone Hedron and all the other ramp in the format, you can easily have 9 or more mana by turn 4 or 5, let alone ways of cheating things into play.
Secondly, Emrakul has protection from most of the removal in the format. I don't see how O-ring deals with her, since it has to target a permanent, and it's colored. So your opponent really needs to rip a Day. JacobsCabin is right. When someone plays a Gatekeeper, you sac another creature, like an Eldrazi spawn or something worthless like that.
I'd like to see something like mono-green Eldrazi ramp work. At the very least, it wins without using a Bloodbraid Elf or a Baneslayer Angel, the two most overused cards in the entire format. That being said, anyone have any suggestions?
Wanted to build this deck, but I don't really feel like spending the money on the m10 lands or fetches. I might be able to swing pulses. Let me know what you guys think of my build.
