Actually the GP in Prag is not cheaper, and Wizards said, that GP Vegas will be 50% more expensive because it's Modern Masters.
Also, when there are less people renting your location, you go up in price? That is not how the economy functions, you have a good location, but its not used, lower the price so someone else would come.
Also with the Judges, the number of Judges needed for an Event will correlate with the number of players, there is only a little increase, because of logistic reasons.
Next Argument with America can not afford it. But Europe can is stupid.
If you compare the gross domestic product of the countries that had a GP this year. Nr1 is Sweden followed by Singapore and then the USA.
The Czech Republic has 0.4 x USA. Italy has 0.66 x USA. Poland has 0.25 x USA.
If you consider what you can buy for your income. There is only Singapore above the USA. But that is not interesting for this conversation.
Hello, wanted to ask why there is such a huge price difference between American Grands Prix and European ones.
To attend an American Grands Prix it costs 40$, same Format European Grands Prix cost 48,5€ to preregister which is around 62.5$. In Asia the prices are Around 40$ or even a bit cheaper. Every European Grands Prix this year costs around 60$, except Warsaw, which is around 45$.
I also disagree with the Saruli Gatekeepers being bad. The 7 Life is relevant (Whitespell that gives you 7 life costs 4 also, but is really bad ofc). For control, it gets back Tempo, and gives you a defensive body, everything you want. Because if your the control, you should have a better lategame than your opponent, therefore the time these 7 Life and the 2/4 Body give you are very valuable. I played that one for 7 Life twice at the Prerelease and it really felt good. Destroy all the work your opponent did and get him off of working your lifetotal, also vs Fliers it blocks them twice. Cards that only gain life, are bad. CARDS with Lifegain tacked on them are usually good. 2/4 for 4 is acceptable filler material in any controlish deck.
The Deck I ended up with
I needed Launch Party to handle Bombs, as i kill everything else.
I did not play Tajic, because i wanted to have only 1 not castable Card when i dont have white.
I think Mossdog is what we want, we stay on Naya Colors, nothing worth switching for. And I think Mossdog is better than the Roc.
I also think the +1/+0 Battalion gets underestimated here, that card has X for 1 Potential.
I think it is Guards, not close. Arrows is often just bad, because its bad to leave up 3 mana on turn 3, opponent just does not attack fearing Swing/Arrows and commits more to the board, then next turn he can swing freely, if you leave open mana again, as he got a tempo advantage, or kill the creature your played, via martial glory, bloodrush, removal spell and just hit through and commit more to the board maybe.
For the 2nd Pick of this pack, i think we should have taken Consuming Aberration, because our deck is lackluster anyways, so 1 almost unbeatable bomb would help win us some games. Also it is not out of Question to go 4 Color Good stuff with verdant haven. Just without red mostly (a light splash maybe) But the pick is ok, as i was not there to write it on time about that.
Only fringe playable is Horror of the Dim, better we have it than someone else. If the draft ends up underpowered its better we have the fringe playables than let our opponents have them.
I'm off to Day 2Draft in London, wish me Luck.
Good Luck to everyone also Drafting in London Day 2.
I am for the Daring Skyjek. 1. Its the better Boros Card You want as many 2Drops as Possible. Also It works better with the Kingpin's Pet we already have.
Commons Missing from this Pack:
(Frilled Oculus, Scab-Clan Charger) or (Hands of Binding, Greenside Watcher)
And (Deaths Approach or Act of Treason)
Could also be 1-2 Multicolored Cards Missing but That is unlikely.
